Even just giving Selles the job so soon was moronic by SR. If they had waited a couple more games then Selles would have felt the need to prove his worth, possibly lighting a rocket under arses for this game and the next couple.

Leeds ultimately aren't a great team. But what they have managed to do is take 10 points from their home games vs Saints, Everton, Bmouth and Wolves. They still have home games to come vs Palace, Forest and Leicester.
Whereas we have one point from home games vs Leeds, Forest, Bmouth and Wolves.
Avoiding relegation is hard enough when you're not very good. But it's nigh on impossible if you're handing points to your direct rivals on your own turf.

The great escape of course is still on but it gets harder and harder with each passing game.
I will continue to believe until it's impossible, hopefully Sellés will learn quickly and change the team about. Playing our best players is key regardless of how well someone did in the previous game.

Leeds deserved it & good luck to them. Pressed &created way more chances than us. They were on the front foot for virtually whole of game bar a 10min period at start of 2nd half.

I think it shows they're in a bit of panic mode. They don't want to sign any managers beyond this season for obvious reasons making us very unattractive to any available managers. They probably saw the positive reaction the fans had to Selles after Chelsea and made a knee-jerk decision to avoid a look of inaction.
Go on then Jabbo. You've been positive all season, you're very quick to take pot shots at the "neg heads." What has your positive outlook brought to the party? What has your blind faith in these ****ing clowns gained us? It seems that Moi gets chosen for his ability to follow orders and provide defensive cover, which has the flaw that he provides nothing going forward.
Play a 4-2-3-1 and we can play Lavia and Diallo ( I know he’s not popular but he is decent in that role) with JWP, Alcaraz and Sulemana as the 3.
Sulemana hasn’t looked good in the last 2 games, but IMO that’s because he is being played as a striker, alongside TP. Against Wolves, he played a deeper role and looked very promising.

If I want to be negative (or anyone else for that matter), that's perfectly okay, as long as their is some rational reasoning behind it (and I like to hope there usually is). Mindless slagging off and cursing is kind of dumb, but as it's just after another embarrassing defeat, I can understand it.
Likewise, if anyone wants to be positive, good for them. Fill your boots.

We're not ****ing down until it's a mathematical certainty and it's far from that. I'll take a positive attitude to every match as I would expect the team to. You and those who've had us down since the season started seem to have some sort of perverse enjoyment in defeat. Yes it ****ing hurts to lose and be bottom of the table but I'm not going to wavier in my support.
I know you are pissed off mate and you have every right to be but going out of the Premiership (If it happens) is not the end of the world. It may give us a chance to rebuild and get rid of the dead wood. As I said a few weeks ago I am just grateful to still have a club to support. Don't get too wound up mate life is way too short.

I thought we just might get something out of this match, obviously cannot comment on what I didn't see. Last week it seemed Selles was walking on water, this week it appears he doesn't know how to swim. The way I see it is this, your main point is still true, there is still enough time, though diminishing by the week, for us to stay up. I believe that the appointment of Ruben until the end of the season gives him much more control as to who is in or out of the team, and from what I've seen of him so far, the players will be facing a pretty decent focus on their individual efforts before the next game, let's hope so!
Grimsby next, ticket booked, hope will be topped up again and looking forward to seeing how this apparent shambles can be turned around. Plenty will probably remind me I'm not realistic etc, but this is football and one result does not decide the next, despite the evidence to suggest it does.
For all of the criticism levelled at Hasenhuttl, Jones and SR. If performances don’t improve this time then it’s time to throw the brunt at the players rather than Selles, because they have had a nice comfortable time hiding behind everyone else.

Well I am glad when the board was held up for 5 mins remaining, I shut my laptop, turned off the stream on TV and went to the kitchen to make dinner.
Listened to a nice bit of Pavarotti whilst cooking (that may I add made me smile more as due to my new automation followed me around the house as I went upstairs to get something), nice aromas in the kitchen and now just come back to the board to confirm our 1-0 loss. I am a lot calmer than I would have been.

That's where you're wrong. I'm not in position to speak for others but I'm 99% certain that no Saints fan wants us to lose in order to be right. That's pure bollocks. We all want the team to win, hell we're Saints fans most of us will just be happy with a battling effort.
Relegation is not far from a mathematical certainty at all. We're down. The team knows it, the manager knows it and the fans sure as **** know it.
