Egos are hard to get over sometimes... Personally I think it would be a fantastic move for him, he's stalled recently

It may not be that things went sour. He probably just wants to see if he can get a run of games. If they go on a cup run and are safe in the prem he probably gets gametime. I dont blame him for at least wanting to try

I think he just doesn't make the best decisions. Everyone accepted that it was too early for him to go but he pushed on. I've seen speculation that he's on £30/35k a week but Oscar can't be on much less. He could've got a right whack from us on a long-term deal and played every week.

He watched Bowen time his move to perfection, he went to a PL side as a starter and he got England caps. Why not copy him? There's no need to rush. Greaves is doing it to perfection as well, he's improving so much and when he goes to the PL I'm sure he'll be a starter (hopefully with us)

I’d imagine it’s more about simply not wanting to go back. He left to supposedly go into better things and it would be an ego dent (maybe subconsciously thinking) to admit you couldn’t go to better.
I’d imagine if he went out he’d go to a side in the playoffs at least so he could tell himself he’s still on the up. Like I said much could be subconscious, but it doesn’t need anything to have been sour

If he's not keen on coming back he shouldn't. He might see it as being sent home with his tail between his legs.

If true, that he needs convincing, I don’t want him back.

    In fact – **** him.

He’d still be on his massive wage, but he’d be getting proper game time at his home club.

I don’t expect all our players to bleed black and amber – but I expect those from Hull to.

Glad to see we're after another winger. We've had a really weird situation around our lack of attacking players all season. It was the main area we strengthened in summer, but from day one we've had such a density of injuries in that area of the pitch that we've been lacking proper wingers and support for Oscar pretty much all season. At the start of this month it looked like it was finally coming to an end with Allahyar and Tetteh getting fit and Connelly and Ebiowei coming in, but here we are a month later still going into games with Slater/Docherty/Christie having to make up the numbers in attacking positions.

I really don't think it's acknowledged enough how much we've been hammered by injuries this season. I don't think there's been a single game where we've had less than 5/6 players out, and it's almost always been concentrated on the attacking end of the pitch. I dread to think how this season could've looked if Oscar hadn't been so consistently good and available.

I suppose it was worth asking the question, but it was never likely to be a goer...

Hull City have this week launched an audacious bid to bring Keane Lewis-Potter back to the club ahead of the transfer deadline on Tuesday night.

Lewis-Potter was sold by City in the summer transfer window when Brentford paid £20m to sign the Hull-born attacker and he has since made nine appearances in the top-flight this term so far.

City made a formal inquiry to the Premier League club but have been rebuffed in their attempts, with Lewis-Potter understood to be keen to remain in West London and continue to fight for his place in Thomas Frank’s side.

In fairness a few on here were laughing at the idea Greaves should be on close to that sort of amount, so I can't imagine we'd have been expecting KLP to be offered similar.

It's very strange, I agree, it was a mistake at the time, and a lot of us were saying Bowen was the perfect model to replicate. Especially with new owners coming in who would look after his development.

Sure, I just look at how eager he was to leave despite everything at the time suggesting it was better for him to stay, and now him seemingly not being interested in entertaining a move back.

Very apt comparison. And even in that instance Zaha returned to Palace on loan.

It was never realistic for him to stay when Brentford wanted him on a 6-year deal. Bowen probably would've gone earlier too if he had the chance, and Greaves I'm sure would go if a PL club came in with a serious offer too. Players just very rarely reject these opportunities. It's easy for us to argue they should from a distance but when they weigh it up, training with top players and coaches at top facilities every day, the chance to play on the worldwide stage against the best players, more money and security and so on, it's generally an easy decision. Throw in Brentford's record of improving players in the long term and it's even more obvious. No one outside of Hull would've expected him to turn it down.
