Every now and again in the last seven games we've conceded a goal, and when we have could probably say there was a defensive mistake somewhere involved, but that's the case with every team, and we'd be hard pushed to improve on our overall defensive record in the last few games. I thought the CBs and Ingram did very well the other night. If fingers to be pointed anywhere, Docherty and in particular Seri lost their men in the build up to the goal. Considering we don't have a physically strong, tackling CDM in front of them, our CBs seem to me to be doing well.

So why are we playing centre backs as full backs?

Because as LR has said, we're a very small team and we need the extra height

Because he's the best player we have to play there ATM and Rosie feels that may become him best position. Nobody can argue that we haven't improved since he went to lb and Mac came in

His 1v1 defending especially against tricky wingers is ridiculously good

He also won a lot of headers really high up the pitch at Sheff United. He was a really handy outlet.

Almost all teams in the Championship are more physical than we are, as I said some time before, we decided to hire Snow White and the seven dwarves the year the league allows more physical challenges.

He gives us that stability as well which allows the RB to play higher up on the other side. I'd love to see Allahyar at RB. He'd need a bit of work but he's way better defensively than people give him credit for and he showed that earlier when he played wingback. The thought of him overlapping Malcolm would terrify defences at this level

He posted that image yesterday, so he was actually playing for them at least a day before City had announced he'd gone back.

Ally would be far too rash as a full back...

Guess he could cause irritation to the oppo from that position. Not sure defensively mind.
