Accidentally started drinking at 3, such a momentous day… have been to a farm shop, got a 17oz dry aged steak, some Argentinian red prawns to go with. Also trying a new type of French potato. Think James Martin did them and had never heard of them before.. it’s called a tartiflette.. like a weird version of dauphinois potatoes, but with onion, cheese and bacon. I’ve still got half a pigs leg Serrano going so used that instead of bacon. Should be interesting being as I’m half cut.
Mira not cooked yet. Got at least another 45 mins in the oven. on a side note, my old oven blew up earlier this year. Bought a new one and now everything is under done as opposed to incinerated. My old oven would burn stuff of following the instructions. This ****er it’s all still raw.
Steak is a tiny bit over done. I hate cooking thin steaks. It’s medium. The weird potato thing is lovely..
Lied on the potato. Who knew that fried Serrano leg is vile. The potato thing is good unless there’s any Serrano in the mouthful.
Not sure what you’re getting at here… it’s 6 months old. It works.. also started them off on too high a temp was meant to be 150c had them near 170 for half hour.
