Surridge is always highly rated but doesn’t seem massively prolific. In a weird sort of way I’m unsure how prolific a striker in our team needs to be. If he can be a focal point to bring in the wide players etc and score a few as well, he will do a job when Stewart can’t play
I'd agree mate, and what players are paid is none of our business imo ... ... you either trust the club or you don't.
I like him at championship level tbf, he does snatch at chances a lot but hes a real handful. Works hard n is a unit so id 100% take him, has at times played wider for forrest. He knows the league so him and the young lad mentioned on here the other day would be nice
Im actually scouting a game tonight that he played earlier in the season so will report back my findings lol
Forest paid £2m for Surridge. If we can get him for similar it would be a fantastic bit of business. Burnley may be interested in loan only considering they’re almost certainly promoted anyway…
Agreed. I like him, he can clearly do the business at this level. Promotion experience now too. He’s younger than Broadhead (who a few would like us to sign permanently) and has done more in his career…
I don't mind Forest at all but the way they have acted since promotion is totally reckless. I truly hope it doesn't pay off.
So here's a random thought in light of the rumours of Surridge possibly being a permanent. How would everyone feel is we got Surridge and Simms on permanent deals, but it meant Stewart going to Everton?
Now? Awful. It would completely derail the season. In the summer, if we got cash plus those two for Stewart, not too bad.
