No that's what he was on till he signed a new contract £700 is quite normal at u23 level he will be on a lot more than that since he signed a new contract
You need an afternoon in the players lounge with 10 or 12 agents bragging about deals they are doing and please understand half of them talk to the same journos we read from every day.so it gets out in lots of ways.

100% Patterson is on more then 700 quid rest you might be right about
