There are an absolutely insane number of people who think Tate being arrested was a set up and that there is no way he did anything wrong at all. Will not even consider the possibility

There are people trying to claim the timing is suspicious because he was arrested immediately after getting into an online argument with Greta. Those people have missed that said argument made him look like a fool to the majority (but, as Os is quick to remind us, achieves what he wants - attention)

And now there are people saying he predicted being arrested as part of a three part thing of cancelled, arrested and then murdered (to silence him)

If you involve yourself heavily in the affairs of Eastern European gangsters then predicting your eventual arrest at some point doesn’t make you Nostradamus. And I’d even suggest that predicting your own killing doesn’t either depending on how much you owe and to whom

I don’t really care about the trans thing at all. But the toilet one isn’t the big issue in my mind. It is a) sport and b) the absolutism of the pro-trans lobby who will ruthlessly attack anyone that even questions trans issues. Prominent female figures in sport have a right to question the role of people with male physiques being allowed to compete with them.

As it happens, I agree with you. Someone who's grown with testosterone is going to have muscle mass that a woman simpy cannot ever develop.

However, I don't see it as grounds for the hysteria on the right which I truly believe is manufactured as a wedge issue.

You didn't say "it seems like fake news". Here's the words you typed (again). You called it propaganda. Twice. If you think false stories spreading via social media is "propaganda" you're not using the same version of English as I am.

I'm going to say it again; I genuinely worry for your mental wellbeing. Take a break from the internet. You'll find that people are kind, decent and caring. And you might stop worrying about plots and conspiracies.

Vin

Thanks for your concern but I assure you that I’m totally fine.

I don’t think EVERYTHING is a conspiracy/plot.

My assumption on what had happened was exactly what did happen. A fake story which was then spread across the internet as propaganda. As I said, it wasn’t a conspiracy theory because it was true. I’m not sure why you’re struggling to comprehend this.

Fake stories can become propaganda at incredible speed in this day and age. And the amount of huge accounts which quickly started spreading the false information is what made it become propaganda.

Yeah. That's what "propaganda" is if you use words to mean whatever you want them to mean in a deperate attempt to be right all the time.

You're struggling to see why I can't understand your viewpoint? Well, it's amazing how many people on here seem to have the same problem and find your posts weird and conspiratorial to the point of derangement, so I'll give you a tip. When everyone around you is marching out of step... it's probably you.

You’ve literally just confirmed my point. It wasn’t true. It was made up by a journalist and spread as propaganda <laugh><laugh> I never said if it was intentional or not. I just said it seems like fake news.

Seems he’s been released btw. So those who were insanely quick to judge may end up with egg on their face. Guess we will see.

Nobody is ending up with egg anywhere. I judged him as a thoroughly unpleasant, nasty piece of work, with a far louder voice than he should, that appeals to disaffected idiots, unable or unwilling to take personal responsibility for their own shortcomings.

Whether or not he gets charged on this current offence makes not the slightest difference to that.

What word should I have used when trying to be quick on an Internet forum then, that describes misinformation about someone being propagated by multiple media sources? I apologise wholeheartedly to your clearly superior self for using a slightly incorrect terminology.

The point still stands that I was 100% right and it was fake news which was propogated worldwide instantly, and people were so desperate to believe it that they even posted it on here.

I am not deranged lol. I just have less trust in the government & institutions than most on here. Which - if you use actual history as your reference point - is the correct mindset.

So you judged someone based on internet headlines, without listening to anything he said in his own words.

And it doesn’t matter to you if he has actually done anything wrong.. it just matters that he was accused?

interesting. Almost seems like that was exactly the intention of arresting him.

It’s interesting that just because people don’t like him, they instantly say he is guilty without waiting for any evidence. It’s pure mob mentality.

Sorry, I’ve never watched or listened to anything Tate has said or done prior to yesterday? I’ve only seen the internet headlines?

Bit of a presumption there, Os, isn’t it? And, much like most of your presumptions, entirely incorrect. I’ve watched and read plenty enough of what Tate is about to have reached a judgement that he’s a ****ing horrible twat. And I don’t need or want to see any more. The fact you want to pin your flag to him, is very, very, very worrying.

See if you can manage to work out what I mean by saying that it makes no odds to that if he gets charged on this particular offence or not. If he’s innocent of THIS PARTICULAR OFFENCE I will still think he’s a twat. If he’s guilty, it just means he’s even more of a dangerous twat than I first thought. Do you understand?

I don’t want to pin my flag to anyone. I just said innocent until proven guilty. You’re the one caught up with the mob mentality

Tell me about my mob mentality? Explain that statement.

I’ll repeat as you’re so clearly hard of thinking:

See if you can manage to work out what I mean by saying that it makes no odds to that if he gets charged on this particular offence or not. If he’s innocent of THIS PARTICULAR OFFENCE I will still think he’s a twat. If he’s guilty, it just means he’s even more of a dangerous twat than I first thought. Do you understand?

Of course. That makes sense.

Can I ask; are you one of those people that loved Meghan Markle when the media told them to, and now hates Meghan markle because the media told them to?

<laugh> No. I’m totally fine. I’m not sure why innocent until proven guilty has wound you up so much

You are still so tied up in what you think is being said, that you haven’t managed to understand what I did actually say, despite me explaining it twice. You’re not fine, mate. You really aren’t.

I understand what you said.

<laugh> agree to disagree. You left wing guys always resort to insulting the poster instead of discussing topics.

Ultimately I don’t really care. If he did traffic, **** him hes a piece of garbage. If he didn’t, I hope people that spread the misinformation about him apologise

Eh? Tell me about my political leanings. Please. Or is that another idiotic presumption. There’s no point trying to discuss something with you, because you never, ever, ever listen, you’re so caught up in your own self-perpetuating manure.

You left wing guys always resort to insulting the poster instead of discussing topics.

Left wing? I run my own business. I voted Tory in every election since 1983.

Here you go; here's something that proves I'm left wing.

Perhaps it's because people who oppose the Tories use extreme language where every Tory is an evilbastardTory. I don't know and, to a large extent, I don't care.

You're entirely missing my point anyway. There is a big difference between: "I don't think all Tories are evilbastardTories" and "I love everything done by the Tories." I say the former, not the latter. I'm generally to the right of centre in politics and, to date, the only party available to represent my views is the Conservative party. I don't think they are perfect. However, the opposite view of "I don't think they are perfect" is not "They are all evil bastards". Yet, on here, in this forum, it certainly often appears to be the default position.

So, Conservatives saying that there are problems with the European Convention on Human Rights translates effortlessly into "Tories aren't big on human rights". A second's thought shows this for the fallacy it must be. There are dozens of examples on this thread but I can't be bothered to look any more.

So, I'll keep on pointing out extreme anti-Tory views (and in case they ever happen, I'll happily do the same for extreme anti-Labour views, though I'm yet to see one). Why? Because in my opinion they are corrosive to reasoned debate.

Vin

If caring about your mental health (and I genuinely do) is "insulting the poster" then I fear even more for you.
