I don’t at all. I accept some of what he says because I’ve listened to a lot of what he says and I don’t think it’s anywhere near as bad as he is portrayed by the media. Most of the quotes that get used to show him as an evil person were genuinely a joke.

Most people haven’t actually listened to him in his own words, they have just been spoon fed “Tate = bad”.

Naturally if it turns out the allegations against him are true then I will revoke that opinion and call him out for being a disgusting human being.

I think accepting all people as individuals and listening to what they have to say before judging them is a good thing, not a bad thing.

The Greta pizza box thing is clearly made up as well. As if the police need a pizza box to trace someone. Def sounds like weird propaganda

If you can’t work out that he’s a disgusting human being already, just by spending five minutes looking at his online presence, I don’t know how to help you there.

Isn’t the pizza box thing just about having proof that he is in the country? Not tracking him directly. They already know where he lives (due to all the cars apparently).

Now this might not be true either. But the story isn’t that he was “tracked” using it.

Yeah, I mean, no one formed an opinion of Tate without hearing what he has to say. They formed an opinion of him *because of all the incredibly odious things he says*.

Romanian police didn't specifically say that the pizza box did it, just that they were monitoring his social media for evidence that he'd be at his villa, because they didn't want to raid the place only to find out that he was out of the country. But sitting in his villa with a Romanian pizza box seemed to be good evidence, heh.

And I assume it was important that they arrested him as part of a raid? Because surely they could have got him at an airport during his trips in and out ?

They would know he’s in the country already. He lives there. He would have flown in.
More to the point, how would anyone know what the Romanian police used to track him?

The pizza thing doesn’t pass the sniff test for me. Sounds like pure propaganda.

If they raided the place and he wasn't there, presumably he'd stop making trips in and out. Romania has an extradition treaty with the UK, but those processes take a lot of time.

Edit: thinking more on this, it's also entirely possible that they believed much/all of the illegal activity was happening at his compound. And arresting him at the compound while illegal activity is happening is important because it removes any deniability he might have.

The Daily Mail didn’t bother with the caveat about ‘more extreme views’ at the time.

Prince Andrew has advised Andrew Tate to pay each of his accusers £13 million and then insist he's never met them.

    I'll bite.

As it happens, it's almost certainly false. Good guide to why here. So, it's a falsehood that started with one person's guesswork and, for reasons of time pressure on journalists and the self-reinforcing habit of social media, it gained traction as fact.

But, as always, you think it's a conspiracy. Not erroneous information (which this clearly is). No, for you it has to be "propaganda". Mistakes don't happen, there's always a plot. And you wonder why people don't take your posts seriously. Not everything is planned. Not everything is organised. Not everything has nefarious reasoning behind it. Stuff often just happens.

Honestly, Os, I worry about your susceptibility to conspiratorial thinking. You need to get out of the part of the internet you seem to inhabit and try to gain some perspective.

A coherent piece on transgender issues by "Squinter" off the Twitter.

It's exactly the question I ask whenever any of our regular posters on here suddenly start fretting unironically about public toilets. What's made you suddenly concerned about this? Did you care about this five years ago?

    Never had an answer.

You’ve literally just confirmed my point. It wasn’t true. It was made up by a journalist and spread as propaganda <laugh><laugh> I never said if it was intentional or not. I just said it seems like fake news.

Seems he’s been released btw. So those who were insanely quick to judge may end up with egg on their face. Guess we will see.

I care about it because there has been cases of rape and assault in mixed sex toilets.
I care about it because children are being exposed to sexually explicit drag shows.
I care about it because children that are too young to make informed decisions are being told it’s a good idea to upend their personality and have dangerous and life-altering surgery.

Did I care about it 5 years ago? Yes. But my views then were the same as they are now. If someone truly has body dysmorphia and wants to transition, then it’s their own choice. As long as they are a consenting adult and understand the risks.

The problem is that over the last 5 years, the woke left have gone bat **** mental and started convincing younger and younger people that they have gender dysmorphia when they don’t.

You didn't say "it seems like fake news". Here's the words you typed (again). You called it propaganda. Twice. If you think false stories spreading via social media is "propaganda" you're not using the same version of English as I am.

I'm going to say it again; I genuinely worry for your mental wellbeing. Take a break from the internet. You'll find that people are kind, decent and caring. And you might stop worrying about plots and conspiracies.

I don’t really care about the trans thing at all. But the toilet one isn’t the big issue in my mind. It is a) sport and b) the absolutism of the pro-trans lobby who will ruthlessly attack anyone that even questions trans issues. Prominent female figures in sport have a right to question the role of people with male physiques being allowed to compete with them.
