FIFA really are behaving scandalously with these last minute ultimatums. I hope Budweiser and Adidas, plus others, sue them into the abyss. You must log in or register to see media
Some football fans have morals mate, some don’t, you not having any isn’t a problemObviously not a football fan, otherwise you would want our national team to win.

Have you heard any update on fans experiences and what you've missed out on?Should I be embarassed to say I cant wait for this? A world cup with no moaning about fatigue, no excessive travelling, a traditional Brazil team against some top European sides and some African teams ready to surprise. I get the impression I will be the only one talking about this on here. I respect all of you boycotting absolutely. I have always been taught to get on the inside to make change, not point and criticise from the outside. I hope football does that in Qatar, there are 1 or 2 encouraging signs in the last few weeks. I am no optimist on this front, but lets not give up before we even start. Football is supposed to be the global game, I suspect it can have a better impact than politics and whining.
I have an invite to go out there, all expenses, but am wavering. I wont decide until the tournament is underway. Do I follow my love, which is world cups, or do I stay away from a country I have issues with? Maybe I will go and be part of that movement to leave a legacy.
Non at all yet mate. I have good friends living in Dohar who I will catch up with at some point, but they wont have the same experience as travelling fans will.Have you heard any update on fans experiences and what you've missed out on?
I think attendances have looked poor so far. Shame.Just watching the boring Netherlands game and itv commentator said crowd just announced and its 1700 over capacity and commentator says its never been over three quarters full all game...

I'm sure I saw a woman waving a flag standing and celebrating an England goal, as she was on the isle seat a steward in a yellow high vis approached her and appeared to tell her sit down...Just been on the BBC News that a woman woman had her 1 love bucket hat taken from her by security. So much for everybody is welcome at this world cup!

Don't encourage him on this thread marra, think he's attention seeking and looking to derail all the threadsExactly mate, where I live in the Lakes the pubs are decked out top to bottom, it’s brilliant. I wish you were my bestest mate.
It's the same guy pops up every few months with a different user name I reckon.Don't encourage him on this thread marra, think he's attention seeking and looking to derail all the threads![]()
My thought too. It's the same guy pops up every few months with a different user name I reckon.
He turns up, initially acts normal then gradually over a few weeks starts dropping wind up bombs. I find it entertaining to be honest. I suspect he's a town fan as he occasionally has digs at them out of the blue but which dont convince me. Then again I might be way off.My thought too.
He fooled me for a while, then he began going against the grain of the thread with WUM type replies. Smug challenged him and he disappeared off this thread... think he's a saddo skunk for some reasonHe turns up, initially acts normal then gradually over a few weeks starts dropping wind up bombs. Noticed the whole Iranian team refusing to sing their National anthem in support of the women’s rights issues back in Iran, I would imagine this action could have serious consequences for them and their families, where as we weren’t prepared to take a fcuking yellow card for our punishment
Embarrassing
I get that marra, but the issue i was highlighting was the CONSEQUENCES of a action and not the different reasons, and like I said weak and embarrassingThere's a difference between protesting against something happening in your own country and about something happening in a different country in my opinion.
Brave from the Iranians and a fantastic protest though.
It's worth pointing out that Bale would have been sent off after 35 minutes if he'd taken a booking for the armband and Wales would be out of the competition already. All for what, in reality is a gesture that would have been ignored.
The blame lies with the FA's who have had 12 years to protest the competition, not with the side now who are in a tricky position.
