I didn't say there were bananas and monkey chants - I don't remember seeing that reported (not for 30 odd years anyway) - just summised this was what the original post may be referring to.

And the several convictions weren't of foreigners. Maybe most instances amongst all social media as a whole were foreign, but that's not necessarily inconsistent with twitter saying most of their accounts suspended for racial abuse following euro 2020 were in fact UK based - as the article explains.

So a dozen people bandy a few crass words around on Twitter, and for that England's football team should wear armbands that incorporate black nationalist symbols and perform a ritual kneeling for 3 years and counting? Said kneeling having been borrowed from a foreign organisation that rose to prominence in the public consciousness after the manslaughter of an American criminal (in the US) who died whilst being arrested for attempting to use counterfeit notes whilst high on drugs?

Didn't the knee thing start before the racist abuse following euro2020 as a reaction to BLM?

Don't see how you equate the two, regardless of your opinion of taking the knee - though if the players want to do that then they should have a right to that expression in a free democratic country IMHO.

Separate issues aren't they?

44 people were reported on Twitter for sending the players abusive messages, all either using the word ‘******’, or using monkey emojis.

The rainbow armband has nothing to do with Africans.

The convictions were for online racist abuse after the game.

The original post said that our first three goals were scored by BAMEs and asked where the banana throwers were. I said I didn’t see any banana throwers. Someone said it happened at Euro 2020. Now it was online. So no racist abuse at 2020 and no banana throwers. Unless they were throwing bananas at their computer screens and TVs. Online abuse is not at a game..

And what about the bananas allegedly thrown at a England players?

I was referring to the statement in the original post someone saying bananas were thrown at our players by England fans other and people saying it happened at Euro2020. No it didn’t.

Only saw the o/p that I replied to suggesting he 'may' be referring to this, which Itself implies I wasn't aware of bananas of Monkey chants at games, though dozens of social media accounts using monkey emojis and '******' is hardly an indication that we don't still have an issue in some corners of society.

Lambo wasn't saying what the O/P suggested happened either, just the abuse that actually happened.

I didn't respond to that post.

You go on about things happening elsewhere being irrelevant. Well, what happens online is irrelevant to claims bananas were thrown at players at Wembley. They weren’t. A lot of the online abuse was shown to be from overseas as it is in a lot of things.
