A bit of good news.

Hull City players walking the disciplinary tightrope of five bookings can now breathe easier after the Championship cut-off. According to rules released by the PFA at the start of the season, players would incur an automatic one-match ban if they accumulated five yellow cards within the first 19 matches of the league campaign.

That, of course, means the conclusion of City's 0-0 draw at Millwall on Saturday meant players would no longer be at risk of suspension. Defender Tobias Figueiredo was the man closest to doing so having picked up four bookings so far this season, with his most recent one coming in the 3-1 defeat to Middlesbrough.

That meant he only had to come through the weekend encounter against the Lions without a caution to ensure the prospect of him picking up a ban passed. Ryan Woods, Lewie Coyle, Jacob Greaves and Dimitris Pelkas were the next closest to incurring a ban having accumulated three bookings so far.

City's hero at the Cardiff City Stadium on Tuesday, Regan Slater, is the only player to have been handed a suspension due to yellow cards this season. He has picked up six already and missed the 2-0 defeat to Birmingham City last month as a result.

Slater and the rest of his City teammates will now be looking towards the next yellow card cut-off point, which does not arrive until after the 37th league match of the season. Any player who picks up a 10th booking until then will be banned for two matches.

It really is time we stopped losing at home. In the last two and a half seasons at this level, we've lost 31 home games. Thirty-****ing-one. Our full home record over that time is P56 W18 D7 L31. We lost more home games than anyone else in both of the full seasons and we've lost more than anyone else this season. It's a quite ridiculous record and it surprises me that it's not been talked about more.

It has to be time for City to stop these losses at home, Liam's first home game, the confidence the squad should have after last weekend and again Wednesday night, surely we can get passed Reading and go into the break unbeaten under LR. Fingers crossed, looking forward to it.

To be fair many of us thought this under Daws after Blackpool and Rotherham away and the follow up home game was ****e. Hopefully it's different under Rosenior this time.

On a side note, I've heard nothing about Oscar's ban appeal so are we assuming he's serving a 3 game ban then?

I hope so too, and we perform better than the last home games. On Oscar up till now, as far as I know, no news, which seems strange, you would think it wouldn't take that long to decide whether it is 1 or 3 match ban.
