To be fair many of us thought this under Daws after Blackpool and Rotherham away and the follow up home game was ****e. Hopefully it's different under Rosenior this time.

On a side note, I've heard nothing about Oscar's ban appeal so are we assuming he's serving a 3 game ban then?

I booked my tickets for this game last weekend, first game of the season for me, just wondering when the tickets get sent out, as mine still hasn’t come.
They should post them ASAP, not wait to send in bulk.

Utter bollocks that a three-match ban was upheld. There really is zero consistency about how the laws of the game are applied by officials in football. A one-match ban would’ve sufficed for an accidental but not malicious high boot.

I've had them arrive on a matchday morning before now, after I've left home. The ticket office should be able to reissue them at the ground though?

The only consistent thing about refereeing is that you know for certain it's going to be completely inconsistent

I think in this division its all down to the level off **** that you get refereeing the game. we had about 10 crap ones on the bounce until Tuesday...

There is no way for that to happen within the FA’s own rules though. A one match ban is only for a professional foul, serious foul play is an automatic 3 match ban, there isn’t a process for “I’ve seen them given but it’s soft so we’ll meet halfway and call it a one match ban”. We’ll have had to appeal the red card decision.

FWIW, I always thought leading studs first at head height was a straight red card for endangering an opponent, but seen too many somehow get away with a yellow.

But that means there is no differentiation between a deliberate assault (a la Cantona) and an accidental collision. Had Oscar gone in with his head, and injured the player, no card would have been given at all. Remember Gary Cahill on Ryan Mason? It's ****ing bonkers, but the refereeing this year has been utterly deplorably inconsistent, and **** all is being done about it. The F A suck. Period

There wasn’t a tackle in the game was there ? But then again they didn’t get near us most of the time. LOL
In saying that let the ball do the work and you don’t have to tackle if you pass and move well . That’s my coaching theory

In terms of default punishment, serious foul play and violent conduct are both an automatic 3 game ban. For either, the FA can at their discretion increase the length of the ban, but there is nothing about decreasing it. I dunno what Cantona got for that back in the day but if he did that today you’d be expecting a 20 game ban at the absolute minimum. Suarez got about 10 for spitting didn’t he (which is it’s own offence).

As long as we ensure we are Reading the game well, follow the Writing of the game plan and ensure we adhere to Arithmetic / stats...

We should **** on them
