... And Monaco, and Fulham at a level lower than he was initially signed to play at. He found a role under Silva. Think he spent as much time out on loan at his time at Dulham overall though. Still has a lot to prove here. Not sure he'll be that bothered. Hasn't shown it so far. Only the egotistical sense that everyone else should graft for him on the pitch. I genuinely hope he proves me wrong. There's always a place for a hero. But not for a passenger. From what we've seen it's up to him whether he's either.
Agreed. The talent is undoubtedly there. However the if the application matched the talent he wouldn’t be kicking around this league. He’s a kind of icing on the cake type player who compliments a team that’s already got the correct structure and just needs that extra bit of creativity. We’re nowhere near that level at the min so I’m not sure where he fits in? Feel like he was signed because the opportunity was there rather than the fact he was needed for the football we want to play. The season is still very young and the new manager might pull the best out of him yet. Here’s hoping!
Have a team that keeps the ball, Seri will be an exceptional player, it’s as simple as that. We don’t have the form or ability to dominate the ball like Fulham did last year. We either need to make him sit and play a quarterback role like Huddlestone which I am unsure he can do, or just use him fittingly till we can be sure we can dominate the ball. On the ball he’s as good as Bullard et all, who interestingly was a very similar player Interestingly Tufan doubled the amount of tackles he had last game than normal. I don’t think he was quite on the same wave length as Shota.
Cheers guys got my answer it was an open question because I wasn’t sure what to expect from him. Was concerned that he controls a ball easily and moves neatly but dwells , Pelkas did it against Wigan and got caught a couple of times , I’m sure they’ll realise quickly how the oppos are on you in this div and improve.
He found no problems with tackling that huge pile of Peruvian fighting dust in Linnet toilets!!! Allegedly.
Daily fail saying we are in for some dude called Lee Erwin who plays out in Finland. 20 in 27 games about to become a free agent. How would that even work with squad numbers, registrations etc.
We could send Simons back too and that would free up another. Bit of a joke we binned Cannon out of the squad to put Simons in who's only made the bench once I believe. Cannon was doing okay too
Had a scan at that Erwin's history, bar this season with Haka (not sure what is equivalent to the Finnish League), his career record is ****ing awful.
No slot free considering Emmanuel, Cannon and Scott can't make the squad, but we'll probably bin a few off.
We've still got one but didn't name Tetteh or Traore. Thought the assumption was that if one of them comes back earlier than expected then they wouldn't be able to play if we'd used up the spot. Tetteh can't be that far away and with the WC break hopefully we can see him in December. I don't think it really matters now though, as there will be plenty of spots available in January. It's hard to see Smith, or Williams staying and I can't imagine Chelsea will be happy with Simons or Vale not really featuring either. I know he's just back from injury but Vale wasn't on the bench at the weekend and unless we get some injuries, it's difficult to see a spot for him on there
