Carvalhal has averaged less than a year at each club across his whole managerial career.

Only club in Yorkshire to have a crowd over 70,000. One of only 14 clubs, and the only one in Yorkshire, to have averaged 40,000 for a season. Wednesday fans have never made claims about worldwide fans. I can’t abide Wednesday, they are on a par with TWS on my detestation chart, but all this stuff comes from City fans.

They have delusions of grandeur. You should hear them on phone ins - like they have a sense of entitlement cos they once got 70k.

Most of them living on past glories from days when the world was very different.

The jobs he's had and investment he's had the benefit of he's a serial underachiever and will end up either abroad, retired or bouncing around mill EFL clubs

Must be nice to have past glories to live on.<laugh> Some of our fans have a rather skewed view of things as well. Think 15,000 is a great crowd.

We should be selling out in the PL, historically we can pull a crowd but it's not robust support as they soon drift away if we aren't winning.

I don't think it is ironic really. Although I am ambivalent as to who it is or what experience they bring, your last sentence is a little naive seeing as there aren't that many English coaches who have been given an opportunity with a top end spending premier league outfit. I am not up with all the information as some of you on here but if someone could name the last English manager who had a go with the top spenders?

    Was probably Alex.

Before that maybe Keegan, Dagliesh, Graham at Arsenal? Pearce at Man C? O'Neil? O'leary spunked a lot at a couple of clubs.

It's a good point, but I think it's mainly because the bigger spenders have been on the whole international owners, impose international coaching structures and international coaches are more used to working within that structure.

If you're Abramovich in the noughties do you :A - bring in a multi-tier recruitment, scouting and development system then sign Mourinho, or do you employ a Steve Bruce, Greame Souness, Bryan Robson, Peter Reid type and give them an open chequebook and simply **** off back to your Yacht?

He did say English. Which rules out some of the ones you mention. Th last English manager to win the title was Howard Wilkinson with TWS.

Says a lot about the difference in culture between the 'face-workers' in English football, and where the money is coming from and the kind of securities the moneymen desire.

Not really. Bob Paisley and Joe ***an were very successful English managers following the foundations laid by Shankly. Then Scot Dalglish had success with Liverpool and Blackburn .All Man Utd’s successes came under Scottish managers.
English managers haven’t done very well at all.

Could it be someone already in a job? Acun said they won’t be installed for Wednesday. Could be because he needs to sort out compensation

how many of the linked names are currently employed

They have to earn the right get a shot at the top clubs. Potter has done that. Couldn’t name another top English coach who’d have a chance at one of the top 6. You’d think if they were good enough they’d get a chance but they don’t. That’s not a coincidence.
