Nobody, but nobody, queues better than us British. We will definitely excel for our late Queen. Credit to those that make it and are able to show their respects.
They said on the radio earlier that they thought that people might be queueing for as much as 40 hours and that tents won't be allowed. You will be able to get a pass to go to the toilet, though. Think I'll give it a miss.
It's probably just me, but I find the thought of filing past a body in a box macabre, no matter who it is.
My friend was passing Westminster Hall after a night out, during the Queen Mothers laying in state... He sort of implies about 12.30....and essentially just walked through. no more than an hour. I would suggest a middle of the night visit Col
200000 went to the queen mum Expecting at least a million for the queen Good luck trying to avoid a lengthy queue
It's insane around there already, people been queuing since last night . By the time the coffin arrives, the scene will look almost apocalyptic.
For those going: https://www.parliament.uk/business/...tending-lying-in-state-practical-information/ They're saying the queue could stretch from Westminster to beyond Tower Bridge... Do people sleep on the pavement? I hope the govt have plenty of portaloos ready.
Go and see the Millwall game, wander up the road to Southwark Park and join the queue - that’s where it’s expected to start.
She's flying into Northholt this evening then heading through west London. Maybe better to see her go past there than queue for 2 days.
It lessens. So if you turn up at 3 am....you will probably get in. Also you are to be given a wristband..and that will indicate when you can get in...and can go and get food and toilet facilities
Incredible scenes of people lining the A40 as the coffin passes by. There are going to be some amazing crowds over the next few days.
Going passed all the places I drive on the way to Loftus Road. Seeing the Spitfire on top of the Vanguard building...and Shepherds Bush Roundabout. Brings it home as so real.. RIP...
My mum still lives in our old house near The Polish War Memorial, she said the road was chaos and a news crew just invaded her drive to take their photos.
My grandson went down to RAF Northolt with his other grandparents. They were standing next to Penny Lancaster, who's on duty as a Special.
