is anyone going to the home game against Leicester next Saturday? Seeing this is making me wonder if our game will be postponed on 17th, too. I hope we get plenty of notice. As it stands I’m heading up on the Friday.
I mean the first thing the club ever did was nick Everton's stadium, and shortly afterwards nick the Great Eastern's mast...
Henderson and Milner over the hill. Missed Thiago. Full backs shown to be defensively weak and their reliance on van Dijk at the back exposed by his indifferent form so far - especially all the mistimed tackles! Keita offers nothing; Fabinho not looked great. Salah not getting them out of jail with his goals. The wheels come off when a few nuts come loose.
Into the ninth minute of stoppage time in Atleti vs Porto Naturally, Reguilon isn't even in the matchday squad... :::EDIT::: ...so that doesn't just happen for Saltypool then?
Looks like Liverpool got absolutely battered and they were lucky it wasn't a worse scoreline. They've got Wolves on the weekend, who'll probably give them a good game. Shame they struggle to score so badly or they might have a chance.
And I repeat all the pundits predicting Liverpool and City domination are a waste of space. Are they not supposed to have an insight into the game that is beyond the average punter? Ooooh such a shock! Hello! Football is often unpredictable that's why it's so popular,
BIG marker put down by Napoli IMHO for this seasons' CL (will now pay attention to all their group stage results) .
I always think this they are pathetic and have no deeper insight than the average Joe Their predictions are boring and lack thought…anyone whos never watched a game ever would make the comments they make. How is team X going to makeup the points gap they had last season to catch a team this season? I don’t think it works like that Haaland to score 80 goals because - don’t work like that City to smash the CL…yeh yeh…we shall see…if anything…recent history suggests they will flop when it matters etc etc We shall see…psychology doesn’t seem to be considered it seems because I guess it’s true…generally speaking footballers are a bit thick
The other two teams in their group are Ajax and Rangers. I think that we'll see the Glaswegians taking a bit of a pasting, so it's down to the Dutch. They laid down a marker with their first game. Bergwijn to knock out the Scouse?
The loss of Mane was probably underestimated and Salah's form since AFCON has been awful. I don't think anyone saw their midfield dying off the way it has, though. Milner's finally looking his age and Henderson's joined him, unexpectedly. One big issue for them is overloading with injury-prone players, in my opinion. Oxlade-Chamberlain is the obvious one, but they're sprinkled throughout the squad. That puts more pressure on the other players, who end up playing every game. They look tired and this season's schedule is relentless.
The biggest issue is their defence, they all look individually and collectively awful atm. What has happened to VVD?
