I'm sure it'll all come out in the fullness of time, but maybe the club got the feeling that AN was never fully committed to the club. Barnes (who seems to have changed his tune) initially said Neil wold never talk about the area or how he was settling in, always kept it to football. The fact he didn't move his family up etc the cub possibly had an inkling he wasn't a long term option
