Yeah that’s fair enough mate! Think Bournemouth will a tough job for anyone to be honest. Even mid table premier league teams are so far ahead of top end championship

    Yes.

I don't think there's much wrong with this, dependant on the club doing it of course.

Derby decided they wanted to be one of the top 15, and are now in the top 50, just.

This is a symptom of the ridiculous money in the EPL. Bar the odd Leicester miracle, no club really has a real chance of getting anywhere near the title, let alone the top 4.

so to be a sustainable Premier League club you're aiming for between 5-14th in the EPL. Any lower and you risk relegation.

That's 10 positions. for pretty much every single club that has ambition to be in the EPL. Just 10. And two of those positions are taken up by two of the "big 6" who don't get into the champions league. And then there's clubs like Newcastle, West Ham, Everton (for now), who are relatively well established within that group. You're looking at 3 or 4 positions "left".

You can either try to break in to that group and risk obliteration. Or the alternative is you do things sensibly and accept that sometimes you'll be in the EPL, sometimes not.

The system is broken. It's why our escapade down here has been strangely refreshing in some (but not many!!) ways.

And its why I'm in no rush to see us prematurely promoted.

Errr Rodney, say that again, it's all confusing me... (joke from Only Fools...)
Could the club have twigged after the play-off win AN wasn't committing and so asked Mowbray along as a secret safety net? Wishful thinking I know, and we'll never know what happened within the club, but for us fan's we need to get behind the lads now more than ever. Hhhaaawwwwaaaaayyyyyyy the lads

SKY money makes a massive difference in the premier league , Norwich will quite likely be promoted again this season but will not go wild on transfers for their Premier season . Probably could come straight back down again but will get parachute payments to make them sustainable and more than likely go back up the following season hence being the proverbial yo-yo club which they accept .

The Mowbray deal will fall at the last hurdle and all of those who didn’t want him will blame Speakman anyhow

That was coming after the weekend. JR has tumbled down the managerial ladder a hell of a lot since SD took a gamble on him in 2018. I like the bloke and I like the football he played when he 1st got here - unfortunately he became terrified of losing games and it made us a very negative team and painful to watch.

Not long ago he was being touted for the Scotland job he’s going to struggle to get another role now I’d imagine

I liked JR, thought he spoke well and until he ended up like a rabbit in the headlights he wasn't that bad.
Mind we've had a few managers recently who talked a good game and couldn't deliver on the pitch...sad really.
Beware of the 9-0 thrashing seems to be the theme this week.
