That's the interesting bit I guess. A bump in his 12 month rolling but not the longer deal he wanted and felt valued for. Guess stoke feel he is value for the 3 year, out club didn't..

But aye gone now so move on.
But who’s idea was the rolling contract, it’s not the first he’s had and the talk to any club clause won’t have been the clubs idea. He’s a snake marra, no two ways about it.

Yeah a bump on his 12 month one. As stated yday. But not the longer deal he wanted and felt valued for. Shoudlnt take stoke to offer terms for speakman to make a counter offer.
To me AN didn't want a longer deal, the bloke had no commitment to safc. If he was that bothered he wouldn't of signed the deal 4weeks ago

Well nor the little baldy cûnt can’t keep changing his mind on what contract he wants. He signed a new one that was an improvement on the original one he was happy with, I’m pleased the ****er has gone he’s obviously poison and could’ve caused unrest if he’s stayed any longer.
All opinions marra.

So to look at it another way.

If we had given him a 3 year deal on the money he wanted he would have stayed.

So the recruitment is fine then
He wouldn't of stayed in my opinion, he wanted this rolling contract and the clause which allows him to talk to other clubs, then once a club closer to his home came in he could be off without much hassle

Of course.

Admin giving it the big "thanks for the memories"

You seem hell bent on blaming Speakman for this when it is obviously not his fault and he is just implementing the sustainability model that KLD told us would be used to run SAFC. I am sure that if Speakman has somehow strayed from his brief KLD will dispense of his services.

KLD speaks about sustainability at every opportunity and Speakman parrots it in most of his interviews. They are getting the message across to us fans by repetition, the aim of the club is to get to a point where they do not spend more than they earn and whether we like it or not that influences what they are prepared to pay employees.

Neil knew the sustainability model he signed up for when he came six months ago and was happy then. He was happy to sign an improved contract 4 weeks ago all within the current model.

I don’t blame Neil one little bit for moving to another club for better money or better terms and conditions, I do blame him for the underhand way that he has went about it

But to blame Speakman alone is naive and unfair, he is also an employee of the club carrying out the owners wishes under the scrutiny of a very professional and experienced board of directors

I have to assume he's been putting himself about ever since we got promoted - he's the managerial equivalent of a street walker hawking his wares to anyone willing to pay. I can't believe he only spoke to Stoke - they were just the first to offer him enough money to foolishly leave the club that boosted his reputation (and by the way, mostly due to a great group of youngsters, a classy owner, and a fan-base second to none - though, fair enough, he did a good job too).
