On the transfers thread, someone mentioned Deodorant from RTG has said there was a bid in this morning, he’s normally pretty reliable
Let's hope so. But this bloke oozes an inflated sense of himself, and I doubt any experienced manager would want to play second fiddle to him. That's Neill gone probably because of him, with about 400 games in him , Keane probably rejecting the job for he same reason with about 300 games, and Johnson gone with about 400 games. I'd imagine he'd only want someone who'll do what he's told.
Yes he is. But the same situation will apply to him. If he came here and did well, he too might expect rewarding.
Not a chance. We'd never hear the end of it from the anti-woke mob if we hire a lass. Seriously though, his stock has fallen which may make him attainable. I'd say it was a gamble for us and him.
IF there's a silver lining, the feeling when Neil was appointed wasn't overwhelming "he's going to be the best thing to happen to the club" etc. etc...With Keane in the mix he was arguably the majority's second choice. So whoever we get in now will likely feel the same. Critchley, McKenna, Manning...whoever it is isn't likely to inspire complete and utter elation. But neither did Neil. So unless it's a Parkinson level appointment, let's give whoever it is a fair shake.
He wouldn't have to hate it though. He'd just have to make a decision on whether any prospective club might be better for him. He's not a young lad. He's more or less at his peak years, and he'll want to make it count if that chance came to him.
Can't help feeling Neil had this in his mind from the start ... ... fair enough, match tomorrow. Ha’way the Lads!!!
If you pay peanuts you get monkeys. Penny pinching gets you nowhere and is always more expensive in the long run. Does anybody know what sort of salary is Speakman on? Was it more than Neil's?
