I’m of the opinion, give the bloke 10 or 12 games then start loading the gun if needed
Cripes, you must like him, you usually go less than half that!I’m of the opinion, give the bloke 10 or 12 games then start loading the gun if needed
Clueless and dog poo describe you to a tee…I prefer Eaves to the new couple of duck eggs up front. Manager appears clueless. Too many players given a chance but clearly not up to it. Totally fed up with this passing side to side across the back. So much for the attacking football we were promised. Verdict = dog poo.
I think with the huge amount of signings, 6 games to try a formation, another 6 to start winning, then I will make my mind up, I was right about McCann being wrong man for our club, right man for Peterborough though it seems.Cripes, you must like him, you usually go less than half that!![]()

He’s scored goals in the conference LeonStill embarrassing we got tommed by the epitome of a lower league journeyman striker, and before anyone starts banging on about how ace he is, or the real equivalence of playing for Barrow et al, he’s not, he is, relative to us and our division, ****.
But, having said that, genuinely glad we’re not having to incorporate slugging it out with Blackburn Rovers at home in Round 2.
As dem metalics once said - sad but true.

Bit of balance
Burnsy pretty relentless, particularly about Mallik. Thought Shota played it pretty cool
Greaves loves to hoof it cross field to the opposition full back - it's his party piece
But could he score goals in the Humber Prem? He’s scored goals in the conference Leon
End of chat
It appears to me, that the half time subs were planned regardless of what the score was, the players that weren’t playing well were left on to try & prove a point, for me they didn’t. It was also a chance for some of the new lads to get a run out, out of position or not.
So it seems it was a meaningless game to the manager, that he was willing to lose. It seems a few Championship managers thought the same, although I can’t say if they did similar scenarios.
If this was the case, where there was no intention of trying to get a win, it really should have been outlined pre match, I know that’s probably bringing this competition into disrespect, but it’s the same year on year, plus fans paying good money in the expectation that their team’s going to put out a competent side to win. By the time any of the remaining Championship clubs start taking it seriously, it’s normally the 3rd round, when the bigger teams come in, but then, they don’t really care about it. The FA Cup isn’t much better.
Something needs to be done to make it more appealing, maybe some sort of group stage, 18x4 where only the group winners & 6 best runners up go through, they play next round & then the PL teams come in, if they don’t want to take it seriously, that’s on them, they can’t be complaining about games when they’ve just been round the world in preseason. Takes it straight down to 32 teams. Maybe even try to make it less, down to 16 before the knock out stages.
Teams can complain all they want about games & fairness of groups, but it’s their fault in the first place.

I’m all for revamping competitions like the League Cup because it’s commonly felt amongst fans and clubs that it’s not worth the bother. It only started in the 60s too - so hardly wrecking the fabric of our history if we change it.
But I have to question your suggestion. Adding group stages, with groups of four teams and then a knock out round prior to the money making teams coming in, which will mean even more games (than now) for teams that don’t want to play ‘meaningless’ cup games in the first place.
What’s the logic?

Fans are bothered it’s the pro’s in the game who havff ex been allowed to have this couldnt care attitudeThe 88,000 there for the final last year and the large crowds at other finals of the League Cup seem to suggest a lot are bothered.
