BBC announce ‘sell outs’ time and again. Wanted to see some velodrome cycling in Commonwealth Games but they said sold out. Funny, there were empty seats watching from the tv.

Generally people realise that's it's not realistic to expect her to be as good as the best male player but accept that it doesn't really matter.

Why shouldn’t she be as good? The women get paid the same but only play 3 sets.

At every major event, there's loads of corporate seats, sometimes used, sometimes not, there'll almost always be some left empty.

The BBC don't decide if an event is a sell out, the venue do.
 
Made up about their achievement. I’ve rolled my eyes a bit the last couple of days though I must admit. I think there’s a future for the women’s games but I’m getting a bit bored of the slagging off of the men’s game. Whether the cheerleaders want to admit it or not, at the minute the women’s game is dependant on the men’s. For serious funding and facilities. I just hope these new fans are prepared to put some time and money into following the game otherwise it’ll be another London Olympics where everyone slags off football for a few weeks then they convert the ‘legacy’ into a football ground a few years later as it’s the only way it makes financial sense.

Not just corporates. Plenty of ordinary fans, presumably ones from away with more money than sense pick and choose.
Been going on for years as Manchester police showed. Seem to recall reading an article saying it was pretty similar at Arsenal.
