Gabby Logan- Is she selling ice creams at half time?
Am I so far behind today’s fashions?
Best of luck to the England Team tonight though.

Unpopular opinion....North Ferriby would hammer them!

It should be allowed to grow naturally and find its level. At the minute it's being rammed down people's throats.
It's not surprising that women's football gets the coverage it does, it's our national sport after all.

That said, I'm personally not the least bit interested in women's football as it stands. I can only see my view changing if a family member took up the game at grass roots level.

Mens netball would hold the same interest for me, somewhere around zero!

Each to their own.

From Ebenezer Morley's role in standarising the FA's rules to now, the men's game took well over a century to get where it is today. Women's football should develop organically but the current attention and debates about it seem forced and unwarranted.

Saying that, the FA banning the women's game between the 1920s and 1970s has created an unfair playing field so you could argue that they have every right to be pissed off and are catching up on lost time. The quality is really poor though and I don't see that changing in the short-term.

I don't mind watching it either. It been a lower standard than men's football shouldn't be an issue. Its a football match. The standard is lower, but so what. I like watching the local teams at the park too

I went last night. Packed Old Trafford watching England win at the Euros, and it only cost £25. Don't know what's not to like.

I'm not sure what is actually meant by people saying it's "forced". Has this euros been particularly well-publicised? I think it's barely been mentioned in the build up in this country.

Standard wise, they constantly play it on the floor; it's certainly easier on the eye than Championship football. They're not bad technically at all. Keira Walsh, England's holding midfielder, sprays the ball about beautifully. Can't see how anyone who likes football could watch that game and not enjoy it like they would any other game.

Clearly, the players would struggle to match their male counterparts for physical strength, but so what? The same is true in any sport. City can't match top PL players for quality but I'd still rather watch City.

There were 7,000 empty seats at the packed Old Trafford according to the official attendance despite it being announced before the game it was a 75,000 sell out.

My wife and daughters asked me to turn the game off and they enjoy watching football yes it was that bad.

I had a quick look between switching between some recordings. 19 minutes gone and there was that sign of people being bored, a Mexican wave.

papers and TV have been full of it. There were 4 women earnestly discussing it on SKY yesterday although it isn’t on there. Best moment was when they cut to Austria and said there was great excitement about the opening game. Was it the same in Austria. He replied there wasn’t but he thought some people would watch as there was no proper football at the moment.
