I'm struggling to think of a more disinterested, ineffective, waste of a loan space, striker we've had.




And I'm including the mercurial but gifted Hatem Ben Arfa in that.

 

I've always thought, generally speaking, that if you are loaning a striker then a full season is better. It gives them time to gel with players around them. Coming in, in the January window, doesn't give them enough time to settle.

Forss was bloody awful full stop. Any game time he got was unjustly at the expense of our own strikers we had here at the time, who were far more effective than Forss.

Altidore actually I think was quite effective in general play he just couldn’t hit a bus on a bandstand with a biscuit barrel when it came to scoring golas.
