I think something people need to be aware of is that despite his age (which will no doubt raise a few eyebrows), the bloke is an incredible athlete and he gets up and down the pitch no bother. He'd work great as a number 10 too.

He'd be a really positive signing for us and his experience would go a long way to helping the younger lads out.

Just doing some maths about our transfers, how many of our new signings do you reckon are on north of £20k p/w (or £1m a year roughly speaking)?

Seri, Estupinan and Tufan 100% will be.
I saw rumours from Turkey that Sinik will be on 25k but I can't see that. Figueredo, Tetteh and Sayadmanesh I think will be slightly less but still high teens

So if we've made £16m from KLP and another half a mil say on Honeyman, would that cover all those transfers and wages do you think?

We've paid out roughly 10m in fees depending on who you believe. I imagine the wages are more than 6.5 for all the new signings, but then I suppose you need to subtract the wages of players sold/released.

I reckon transfer fees and net wages for new signings alone are still more than what we've had in.

Interesting. So it checks out about KLP paying for our spending then. I heard something from a former City player (through a family member) about our new owners, trying to work out if it's true.

    .
The fact they've been in discussions over the FFP cap suggests they're putting in about 39m.of their own cash over and above above fees received.

And you can see how if theyve increased the wage bill by 20m.a year.

No need for the meeting with the FA if they weren't planning on getting close to the limit.

Why’s he giving himself a nipple twist, or is he really about to become a badge kisser?

Baz figures suggest we've spent about 12m in fees already. KLP doesn't cover half a dozen players 7 figure wage contracts over 3 years also now does it? Match day income won't cover it either.

The only way you can trouble FFP is by spending 39 million above income in a 3 year period.

Why the meeting with the FA if we were spending net zero?

    It’s about 11.5M I think fees wise.
