Talent of KLP work rate of Honeyman. Bought for 1/4 of what KLP cost Brentford too. Love KLP but it’s mental the cost in comparison. Allahyar is light years ahead physically and hopefully we see how good he is in front of goal more this season as he was effectively a work horse for us back end of the season working with little to no service all game
I'm praying we keep hold of some of these players for the next few years, I'm sure acun has good relationships in Turkey but I don't think there is a bottomless pit of players he can get across to Hull. Yes there's players in the UK but I feel like the tax you pay is so high you can't replace someone like allayher for the 4mil or whatever from the championship or league 1.
" ..... We said to them ...., we're trying to build a legacy here, so if the players fit into this legacy then we're more than welcome to take them." (extract from the article about potential Juventus link up)
We could be a feeder club for Juve https://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/hull-city-held-meetings-italian-7343276
Would be great for us for the next few years, especially if we get first option to keep the players we sent. They may never be Juve standard but they could be City standard for the next X years. Not sure how good Juves youth system is though, in their 29 man squad only 3 are from the academy and they aren't exactly first team quality. Although I'd take ***ioli for us.
Wonder what he makes of all this publicity and worldwide reach and whether he realises what a complete cockend he was about the name change. Nah doubt it he’s never wrong
"Why not," Kesler said when asked by Hull Live if the ex-Leicester City man has a future at the MKM Stadium. Hardly the most ringing of endorsements.
"If he didn’t have a long-term future I wouldn’t have activated his contract - even though it’s a one-year contract and it may seem like it. Contracts can be negotiated at any time." "He’s one of the leaders of the team and he needs to go to the World Cup. I want to see him in the next four months and I’ll happily go back and financially shoot myself in the foot and give him a better contract. "I don’t want to take away the competition because Brandon has developed and improved so much. At least we have competition in the left-back position." The entire discussion surrounding Elder was he was a solid back up option. Can't believe you aren't going to let this go.
Yet in both friendlies involving the 'first' team, it was as though Elder was first choice again -- with Fleming in with the stiffs.
