Ahh, not surprised. No idea what he's done for last 6 months but didn't he only start training with us last week.

Slater can deputise alongside Seri while he gets up to speed so it's not a major issue

Why, are we playing against Oompla Loompas all season?

True, Slater was impressive again. Looking forward to seeing him this season!

He's a very thick built guy anyway by all accounts, the right diet, nutrition and plan from the club will see him fir for the season opener imo

Some players are just built that way, two obvious ones are Sancho and Hazard. They can both put on a few pounds and look fat and sluggish when they're actually just stocky so it shows more

It would be fine initially.

To be honest 3 weeks os a long time when you're just doing fitness. It's far from ideal that the first game was against Fenerbahce who are ahead of us in pre season and a good side too

No, it really wouldn’t. Slater battles away but both him and Seri in a midfield two would be weak as piss.

Do we really believe Slater is going to be a regular starter i think he won't be maybe cup games but not a regular first 11.

Tufan has probably had his confidence shattered from his experience at Watford and lack of game time afterwards. Some cope with this in different ways - become depressed, become lethargic, become overly skinny or put the weight on, UNINTENTIONALLY...it's a mental thing. Hopefully he will regain his confidence with us and kick on from there.
