I would wager his daughter has never supplied a professional sports club before. Even the very best are prone to a late payment or two and the worst are borderline criminal at times. You need to account for this when dealing with the big boys.

And then the financial guy accidently paid us £3000 the following month which we took great pleasure in taking months to repay.
Given how positive Acun's reputation is, the fact Rodwell is there who is a decent bloke and the lack of evidence I would suggest this is nothing more than a rumour/exageration or someone who doesnt realise how many people have to sign off payments within clubs of the size of City. If she is telling the truth a CCJ would go through very easily and she would get her money.

I wonder how often blackmail is used in professional negotiations. You see it in TV and films but since blackmail is technically a crime, I wonder just how often it’s used to coerce a signature in business.
To add to this, while I'm not sure what Hull City Council payments are like these days; back in the day they used to be 60 days+ on their 30 days term creditors. Not many companies chose to stop supplying them their goods/services.
Not saying it is right, or reflects well on City, but its certainly not a cause for us to be concerned about.
It's hard for the small trader with cashflow but you are 100% certain you are getting paid.

This interview is actually making Acun’s actions make more sense.
It’s pretty much how he’s trying to make us bigger than we are, he actually says this, he knows we’re ****, but trying to get these bigger names to us, to make his dreams come true faster.
This is how it should be done. Everyone outside of Hull will talk us down and it's our job as a club to talk ourselves up. Pearson and Duffen were very good at that. Among their many faults, the Allams were shambolic for it. Several times in their desperation to pardon themselves for taking so long to sell the club they reeled off a list of reasons why no one would want to buy a club like Hull City. That was always a ridiculous way to talk about a football club you own, particularly when supposedly trying to sell it. Acun making us sound bigger than we are is a breath of fresh air.
Yes but also, if I’m understanding correctly what Acun said in the video, we’ve also only paid half of what Fenerbace value him at, and I’m pretty certain that’s only been made possible due to his relationship with Ali Koc. I'm in Turkish Cyprus right now and I have to say I'm underwhelmed by the impact Acun's marketing has had.
No more than half the locals are wearing City shirts, only about 70% of the busses are decked out in City colours, and no more than 62% of the TV is devoted to showing City news or old matches.
