You’ve got to love the blokes enthusiasm, he’s such a breath of fresh air that he’s rapidly removing the stench that the Allam’s left behind.

But the Allams signed James Scott to replace Bowen, and didn't run the club shop stock down to stop Chazz spending his points....

... And they didn't say they'd signed Twine and Seri... (whilst getting grief for not announcing Ali, Traore and Tufan - who aren't as good as Eaves, Smallwood and Honeyman anyway....)

Surely they weren't all that bad?

I'm not sure if anyone else has seen but I've seen Baz get a right whack of abuse today.

Seems completely uncalled for but I think it's fair to say the KLP news especially hasn't gone down well

Whilst Scott hasn't covered himself in glory, he was on a bit of a hiding to nothing coming in as the replacement for Bowen.

As you say. 20 mil if he wont sign a new contract would be better re-invested than allowing him to go for nowt.

City have always had a minority set of knobheads. Nowt changes.

Fair point. Doesn't excuse the attitude and shares in pizza hut and Tennants that not just we have had to put up with but more than one manager at Hibs also.

He also shouldn't have been touted as such by Enob and McCant at that stage in his career either.

People genuinely believe as a championship club we are in a position to do what West Ham are doing with Rice. It’s baffling…

Part of football is selling players. The problem we've had in recent times is that we've never had that many players that other clubs actually wanted to pay good money for.

I mean it's not been a great few days with Honeyman going, Seri turning us down and KLP half way out the door, but it's the progression that needs to happen.

In previous years, this would be happening on the last day of the window to eek out that extra 1% and leaving us ****ed in the process, but it wouldn't be Seri knocking us back, itd be one of Darno's journeymen

I was pretty pleased when I read it today, there's not much that can really hurt us late in the window now. I've thought for a while that it seemed a near certainty that he'd be off, I just can't believe the fee. But I did read some people on twitter saying it's not enough

Apart from his breakthrough year he's had 1 successful season in the championship.

It's good money. We've been promoted before for less outlay than the figures being talked about.

Much as I'd love to see him stay, if he won't re-sign then we have to get the best fee possible

I hate to accept it but I think they'll sit on the offer and wait to see what happens when L**ds and others have sold some of their assets to free up budget mind...

Lot of it came after Mike White published a chat with Kesler, even thought it was effectively confirming what Baz had said.

Kesler said that an offer had been put in but it was lower than the valuation City had of Keane. Baz said exactly the same, only difference was he added that all 3 sides of the deal think it’s getting to an end stage and he’ll more than likely end up at Brentford.

    Totally underserved for Baz.

I've just been having a look at the record championship sales, and if you exclude those from the players who were relegated there's only Watkins, Maupay, Bowen, Benrahma, Bellingham, Danjuma and Webster (I think, maybe McBurnie too) that have gone for more. He's going to go for a similar amount to what Eze did

He said there was a growing belief/acceptance that a deal could be done.

That article today outlining our position in the market maybe showcased his journalistic credentials in a way he hasn't had the opportunity to show before having to write to a format for clicks.

    He's just reporting the facts.

I've not always been a fan of Baz. He was late to the takeover story and seemed out of his depth in the autumn, but he has a direct line to the club now.

He doesn't deserve **** for the fact that football is a business and certain realities prevail

That was also from Monday's chat. I've no idea why they cut it from the long interview, unless they were asked too

The Sun, who turned out to be right for once, reckoned the increased bid went in yesterday.

People seem to forget that things in the window can move so quickly and change instantly

Phil Buckingham and the Athletic published effectively the same story too. Neither of which have received anywhere near the same level of pushback that Baz has got.

The Seri news definitely annoyed fans though as I think many thought it was done, but it was never reported that way.

We're going to have a much harder job convincing UK based players than we are foreign ones. I think that's shown so far, what we know of, we've been turned down by Swift, Twine and Seri, all UK based.
