I think we can safely say though that nobody now is "ITK" - with talks of "massive" things to happen, celebrating in pubs, different groups at the table and not - and not one, bar Smug the night prior, gave an indication that it would be KLD taking the 51% which I certainly wouldn't classify as massive, nor worth drinking in a pub too.

The ITK plane, has well and truly departed.

KLD's statement hinted at the fact there was a third party and they have bought enough of the shares to now stop that being possible. So I would guess that what the itk's were saying was true at the time third parties were interested, did have a offer and were some way down the line when KLD and JS exercised their right to buy.

Or shorter answer, things change!

A classic get out clause the "things change" bit mind, nobody even mentioned the TFT group until RR did - I find it strange after Keane being "done" nobody predicted AN neither.

For arguments sake can we all agree that everyone is happy (ish) with the outcome, the club seems to be in good hands and we have a season in the Championship to look forward to. Whether the people who post stuff on here got it spot on or not should be immaterial - things change.

"Things" have changed one hell of a lot in the last two or three years then, so much so not one proposed deal in ownership nor management has happened <confused>

That said, I am very pleased with the outcome. Would like to see SD sell on too, mind.

I know I get slated for being his pal. But Sunderland got under his skin.
He regrets his meeting with the RAWA and losing it the lad probed and probed till he snapped
Sorry for being a bit dim here, but is this about Methven or Donald?

I actually think Donald is a decent lad overall but Methven really gets on my tits. If I had to choose one to still be at the club, but only as a minority shareholder - I’d choose Donald.

To be honest I'd say KLD and Sartori, two seriously wealthy men, having control of the club and the hated Methven gone is a cause for celebration <cheers>

Well i tend to agree, especially after reading what that German lot had in mind we are in a much better place so if I had the opportunity to enter a public house I might lean towards a wild celebration

Those slating you aren't worth giving a second thought. I still think he wanted to do well as it was a chance to get into the higher levels of football and make money on turning us around. Unfortunately for us and him he seemed to be lead by heart not head and didn't understand the microscopic world and size of interest from a very intrusive and savvy fanbase. Trying to get close to the fanbase isn't a good strategy

Exactly this. At the start of the conversation, it was stated that this could even be the outcome. KLD released statements to clearly show any buyer had to pass the integrity and values test. They didn't so they struck up a deal themselves.

I reckon this was his plan all along tbh. After the crypto **** was released and some fans were flapping I was convinced a family of multi-billionaires would in on way leave themselves in a position where they had no say or control over who bought a percentage in their investment.

I called it quite a while back that the club would stay in family hands, based on someone close to it all being a bit too loose lipped and it's what's happened. Yet the dullards on here still deny anyone had a clue what was happening....

And if it reappears shoot the fecker down

There are two ways to look at the current situation, both equally plausible ...

... it just depends on whether you have a <cheers> or a <doh> personality.

<cheers> We've been taken over by a billionaire brought up in football and who attends our games. He's persuaded championship quality players and the manager to drop down to the third division and quickly given the club a Wembley cup win and promotion. He and his partner, between them, have enormous wealth far in excess of what can be spent under FFP.

<doh> We've been taken over by a bored young rich boy who doesn't have enough financial clout and is unable to totally buy out the previous owner. He deliberately lied to the supporters and simply dropped lucky with the manager and went up by the back door.

What about all the lies and the kidnapping bullshit??
Poor thing to lie about.

However, Methven would have made a claim like that blow up even further and gone to the national press about it.

I’m not saying I am a fan of Donald, just that he is the (slightly) lesser of two evils in my opinion.
