How do you know that is the case? What facts do you have?Seems strange we're able to attract all these international players on competitive wages but can't offer a satisfactory deal for Honeyman.

Maybe they’re just offering him what they think he’s worth?Seems strange we're able to attract all these international players on competitive wages but can't offer a satisfactory deal for Honeyman.

It may be about contract lengthI can't imagine Honeyman is looking for a substantial increase.
I think that’ll be the case, he excelled in Grants high intensity direct style frequently but only stood out a handful of times under Shota.I'm not surprised they are allowing Elder to leave if the right offer comes along. Shota sees Fleming ahead of Elder now, and I'm not so sure he would be happy warming the bench. Maybe they feel there is enough cover within the academy, should Fleming get injured, or they may well bring another left-back in as cover?
On Honeyman, both he and the club are probably playing hardball to get the best deal done for both sides. He is here for another year, so maybe just see how things go up to Xmas, with the incomings, it might turn out George is not a regular starter, which throws up a completely different situation.
Never a choice lolAlways a pleasure, never a chore.![]()
Know what is the case? As mentioned above, Baz confirmed Honeyman rejected our contract offer.
Anyone remember us wanting this lad in the past?

May be about pecking order. It may be about contract length
No player who we want to keep will be told he will not be first choice or vice versa, it’s more a case of having the confidence that you will be and been prepared to fight for your place. I think if you are told that you will be down the pecking order then it’s a sign you are not overly wanted. Healthy competition in any team is good and needed.
