It is Tuesday the 7th of June and I feel like everyone is beginning to lose their mind. That awful tail end to the season, new ownership with weird “Moneyball” reputations and Crocker wanting to steal all the younglings is going to make this the best summer ever for Not606 meltdowns and terrible spicy takes.

This will be the greatest summer, in the history of my sport. We’re at the beginnings of a classic folks, mark my words. 53 pages in and we’re just getting started…

Squad player at best. If he stays, Walcott, Djenepo and Redmond all need to leave.

Our 4 attacking mids should be:
New signing
Armstrong
Elyounoussi
Tella
I don’t think we will find homes for all 3, however if we were lucky enough to then we need to sign 2 attacking mids/wingers. If a new signing flops then we will be playing elyonoussi and Armstrong with tella as impact sub. We will score less than this season.

Maybe but we arent a club that can afford more than 2 players in each position if we want them to be any good. Better to spend more on a new signing that is quality rather than keep paying the wages of an extra player or make 2 average signings.

Maybe we could utilise the loan market for the 5th player

I hear ye. I would love us to buy a decent winger who goes into the 1st team straight away and is a natural starter. My worry is that we just won’t do that and we will sign another unknown who shows flashes of promise but never materialises.

The kind of players who “just need a run of 6 games etc”
