Someone else (I think 1moreagain) was also suggesting he had big backers, as was Orange.

If Acun genuinely only has 100m and he has bought us then he is mental and we will have less funds available than we did under the previous regime. I suspect there's a bit more money than that involved in the club.

Agreed. If he has around £100m, why would he spaff 20-25% of that on a low down championship club???

There must be a multi, multi, multi billiontrilliongazillionaire hiding in the shadows...

There's been lots of talk of other monetary backing behind the scenes, but never anything concrete. Suspect we'll find out in time.

Also, I recall Baz replying to one of the questions on one of his Q&A sessions he does in the daily fail that Acun's personal wealth is a lot higher than the $100m which has been suggested on the internet. Plus, however the deal to purchase the club was structured, l can't imagine he would have just handed over £30m from his own personal fortune, he will have borrowed the majority in some shape or form.

That’s how much he’s worth not how much is in his bank. Everytime he spends a penny it’s not coming out his bank account….

Why do is so much effort is being put into sponsorships etc? Signing national superstars like Allahyar is only going to boost revenue in the long run too because Iranian’s are so loyal to their sporting superstars they’ll follow them everywhere. We’ve already had them at the ground this season.

Acun Ilıcalı will meet with the Uruguayan striker for dinner this week to complete the transfer

Best one yet

He might be biting off more than he can chew with that one.

Sorry off topic!

Walking around London today I’ve seen lots of people wearing Hull KR and Hull FC shirts, anyone know why?

I agree, if he's going, Which I think he will, then the earlier the better

I'm fascinated to see how Acun plays this as he's already said he wouldn't sell him for £30m, when we clearly would.

If he won't sign a new deal, we have to sell him now. He'll never be valued higher and we need as much money as possible to build a top squad

Encouraging a bidding war I imagine. If he gets anything close to £20m I think he takes it. And I think someone will pay that should other targets of theirs fail and they get desperate
