The league table never lies. We had 38 games to win the league, Man City were the better team over those 38 games. Pep’s still a **** along with the owners.

This!

For us to compete and run this Man City squad so close is phenomenal.

Back to the game - commentator kept trying to make out we were really struggling to do our bit. Can't say I ever felt like we weren't going to win, though I did think we might concede another, the gaps we were leaving at the back.

I have had one of my Bluesh*te mates on to me to say, now EFC are safe, he is glad they never got the penalty against City now as that prevented us from winning the PL. If I was getting married again he would not be my best man again, and I would also not let him come to my house when we were 3 year olds and play with my toys again if I had known he was going to say that.

Funny how those incidents stick in the mind, like that blatant foul on Alison in the first West Ham match. Never underestimate the influence of sh1t refs on the league

Trying to thwart us is all they have left.
A once proud club reduced to this...

He wouldn’t t have been saying that if the blatant penalty that wasn’t given had cost them a point to stay in the league and avoid relegation

To be fair I suppose I did give him some stick when it looked like EFC were going to go down. We have been mates for 61 years so we expect it of each other. Still wish the bu**ers had gone down though:emoticon-0102-bigsm:emoticon-0102-bigsm

There’s a big difference playing like that against Wolves and then playing like that against Real Madrid and Vinicius.

Also a big difference at 1-1 and needing to score than going into a final of a CL at 0-0 and only having to beat what’s in front of you

We often say ‘okay like that against blah blah’ but the game today means nothing in how we’ll play b Madrid.

for one, I doubt Madrid will play 5-3-2 so won’t have to mark a wing back and a wide forward.
