The scum fans assaulted Villa’s goalkeeper at the end of their match, must be worthy of a 30 point deduction or instant relegation
First of all, I'm chuffed for Mo for getting on the scoresheet after a long drought. I've been worried about him recently. Secondly, we couldn't have done any more, but the Spurs draw was regrettable. It's all ifs, buts, maybes and what ifs. I'll see their dodgy Premier League win to our honestly won trophies and they still have to win the Champions League so every cloud
its alright i have calmed him down now and stopped him muttering "how can you concede 3 goals that quick you ****ing brum twats" and got him to post the thread .
Don’t agree with this Never have done - never will do barca were better than madrid when madrid won title Don’t even get me started on Leicester Loads of things contribute to a title win loads of teams have amazing Jan to Jan periods However whoever. Had won it this year deserved it 1 point splits the two teams over 4 seasons That is ****ing amazing I think what we need to realise that the only way to beat this city team over the season is to not give them a chance You guys all look at the spurs game etc for me it was the Brentford game and those type of games and I did say so after the Brentford game we will have to be immense the entire length of the season, No thinking that City will drop points And if they do Punish them It’s the only way to beat them really hope we can win next week Amazing season but a loss next week will be a real sucker punch and we looked drained today time for the return of Mo Come on reds
Imo it was the Chelses game at home. 1-1 against 10 men parking the bus. Midfield is going to be an obvious priority for improvement this summer to hopefully turn those annoying draws into wins.
No doubt, Manchester City and Liverpool are the two best teams in England they jointly have the two best defence.Very tight at the top.
Well today the team did its job, even if they did make it tense for us all, and in the end thats all we can ask for. Prior to todays matches I didn't even think City would even come close to dropping points, thought they would spank Villa, so in the aftermath nothing is really lost as we were always behind and at no point today were we even top. A lot of 'neutral fans' singing cause the money dopers won, but without us City would have won the league in March and English football would be a joke (also they'd probably have won the LC, FA cup and be in the CL final as they'd have been able to rest players in league games, so even more of a non-event)
I've said several times I don't think there's much point in trying to isolate one particular game as the issue because it's just about how many points you accumulate, no dropped points are more important than any other dropped points. However, if I had to say which game disappointed me the most it would be the Leicester defeat.
I agree to a point But I think the players need to understand that it’s no good driving in the second half the season the desire I. Those early draws to win was not there as they expect to get back into it the only way we will better City is to treat EVERY single game as a cup final Just my op but that’s what I think it takes going up against city
I guess the 2 draws v city are prob most important. Team can’t improve that much but against the top teams Is maybe the one area. Took a total of 4 points out of 12 against city and Chelsea this year. A win in any of those games wins us the league.
Imo the improvement needs to be in goals conceded from leading positions. We simply don't do it well and we have two extreme modes. One is transition to attack taking risk to flood on. The second is complete closed mind to passing forward to the point we end up on our own goal line dicking with the ball. We.need the better medium where we can mind the shop at the back and not throw in nearly 2 goals a game against the better sides. Spurs beat city for us. It was 2-2 in bother our games and spurs were not even that good. All down to son. Against Brighton we went to sleep. 2-0. How.we let them have 2 goals is purely down to the fact they are willing to press. Against Leicester we just played ****ty but score the early pen and we win 2-0 Against West sham we couldn't defend. But city have a fair few shockers in there as well like palace and Southampton
There were numerous results which cost us but it’s pointless picking them specifically because City could easily do the same. What we need to do is look at the pattern amongst those games and it’s clear why we dropped points, and it’s down to when we had injuries and covid cases in our midfield. We lost Thiago and Naby for periods, and fab missed a couple of games as well. Hopefully we will sign a new midfielder or two this summer and that will address the issue. But overall, what a fantastic season for us. Wasn’t expecting a miracle yesterday but we almost got one - and that’s the importance of never giving up and always fighting to the last minute. We pushed city all the way. And unlike everyone else, our season hasn’t finished yet… on we go!
