Seems odd that TH release was announced immediately whereas others have a stay of execution until 21st May. Unless there are negotiations with the others but TH was a definite NO.
Huddlestone has no resale value. The others have. We'll be offering the lads we want to keep new deals, the ones we want to sell will have their options triggered so they don't move for nowt. If shota has said about Wilks 'he has a value' and suggested his option would be triggered then the others are a no brainer with the only exception of Emmanuel still being a question mark.
Yes. His contract ends in June like the others but we're not triggering Hudds option year because he won't play and we won't get a fee for him. If Hudds wants to drop down the leagues and play on for a season then he's more likely to find a club as a free agent anyway.
Huddlestone's departure hasn't been announced as such. The club has said nothing officially. Shota more or less confirmed it to Burnsy in his after-match interview but it seemed like he didn't really plan to mention it. Burnsy didn't ask about any of the others specifically.
It's certainly intriguing how they are handling this situation with the out of contract players and retain list. It seems they are getting everything done with all players and will announce in one shot.
"I always do my best when I am sent out on loan and I want to put in the performances to show that I am good enough" "It is my dream to play for Chelsea one day. Whether it is this summer or not, I don't know. They will bring me into the building and we'll have to wait and see" . "The next step could be going back to Hull, and why not? I love the place and the fans really supported me. Whatever the decision is, I will keep my head down and work as hard as I possibly can". Nathan Baxter
sounds like I'd rather play for Chelsea but if that doesn't happen I'm happy to play for Hull - and there's absolutely nothing wrong with that
I like Dawson proper old school pro No idea how he’ll do as first team coach but hopefully he’ll be great
Daws seems to have done the U23's job well, so it seems a good step up for him and keeps the City influence in the coaching team. I wonder who will take over the U23's, maybe John Anderson will step up?
I wonder if they'll bring Barmby back for that role. I've no idea if he wants that level of commitment, but he appears to get on very well with Acun
