We might even get a decent wedge for Big Fras if he plays for England tonight.
Even if he was still under contract in the summer one England appearance because multiple third choice keepers are injured would not add to any transfer value. It would take a performance that catapults him to first choice England keeper to do thatWe might even get a decent wedge for Big Fras if he plays for England tonight.
Forster and McCarthy both deemed worthy of England call ups who's available that would be an upgrade?I expect the talk of the extensions for McCarthy and Stephens is true. Mystery why it wasn’t announced
Potentially those deals wouldn’t have been made if the new owners in place at the time but who knows. Whether we can (or want to) try and shift either remains to be seen. They will both be on premier league wages so would require a premier league club to want to come in for them I expect. I don’t see it happening for McCarthy but you never know
I wouldn’t expect McCarthy back this season which also might hamper any attempt to move him on
This question has no relation to anything I wrote in my comment. Perhaps partially to my suggestion that another premier league club would be unlikely to want to sign McCarthy from us. Which I’d suggest is true. I guess by implication that would suggest that most if not all of the goalkeepers at other clubs would be upgrades? Or at least equalForster and McCarthy both deemed worthy of England call ups who's available that would be an upgrade?
Sorry if you find my reply not on thread to never mind worse things happen at sea or so I'm given to understand. The replacement of one or both is a common comment on here. This question has no relation to anything I wrote in my comment. But I made no comments and about replacing or trying to upgrade either.
I spoke about contract extensions, whether we would be trying to move McCarthy and Stephens on and how McCarty probably won’t be playing again this season.
Incidentally when was McCarthy’s last England call up? Has he been worthy of one for a while? I know Sheldon thought so earlier on in the season but Southgate didn’t. And Forster got a call up after Johnstone dropped out. So there is at least one available upgrade based purely on your logic of “England call up”
As to any more - I am not a football scout
I mean it is relevant to the thread. Not so much to my comment.Sorry if you find my reply not on thread to never mind worse things happen at sea or so I'm given to understand. The replacement of one or both is a common comment on here.
Yes please! 22 year old, can play any position behind the striker, good young player. Certainly better than most of our options there. You must log in or register to see media
Anyone know anything about him?

Bunch of winkers those spurts. There are rumours linking us to Winks again. I expect this is just rehashing old links
The ugly inside did a rambling piece on how it would be “moneyball” to sell JWP for 50m and sign Winks for 16m - even though they acknowledge his defensive impact is no way near the same. And Saintsweb people are wondering if it is like (a bad version of) the KWP and Hojbjerg deal.
If Spurs want JWP I definitely don’t see them having our cash value. The only player I can think that I’d entertain is Skipp - an actually effective player in the same position. One that I doubt spurs would go for.
It almost does sound like a spurs wishful thinking than something we would ever entertainBunch of winkers those spurts.
