There have been claims that people inside Kremlin are against him “ we voted to help Donbas, we did not vote to bomb Kiev or have war” Russian public seem to disagree with him also
There were about 2k protesting in Moscow against what he was doing and I believe they all got arrested for treason. But I wonder what would happen if that turned to 10s of thousands on the Moscow streets? Would their own Police down tools and join the protests against him for example? The 2 chiefs of staff in the video where he puts the nukes on standby look less than convinced at what he was telling them to do. Edit, these 2: https://news.sky.com/video/ukraine-invasion-putin-puts-nuclear-deterrent-on-combat-standby-12553323 Another edit: think it was St. Petersburg rather than Moscow where they were protesting.
I’m surprised nobody has asked Tony Blair to go and broker a peace deal, he could be Labours very own Gazza, I mean how could he fail. Ps if he fails and they butcher the slimy twat, still win win.
Thinking exactly the same, I’d be amazed if something/someone didn’t question it. Hoying up nuclear missiles mean everyone dies, including Vlad.
Unfortunately Russia isn't exactly a nation ruled by democracy, so that one General might have the fear of being the only one, but you'd still hope for a 'Russian Valkyrie' of some sort. Edit: obviously an Operation Valkyrie that works...
****ing yikes. That is a really big deal. Not very far away from actually putting troops in. The whole world seems to have realised that Vlad's got nowt on.
Anonymous are now hacking into Russian television and launching cyber attacks https://www.marca.com/en/lifestyle/world-news/2022/02/27/621b73fa46163f6b328b45be.html
Will he use this against the EU and now say '**** it, you lot are fully involved now; its a full on war with Europe" and the big red button is pressed? Alternatively, are the Allies smelling blood without firing a bullet?
England refuse to play Russia "for the foreseeable future" (**** them off forever imo).... https://news.sky.com/story/ukraine-...-the-foreseeable-future-fa-announces-12553645
I hope this all works out and Russia is expelled from its seat on the UN Security Council https://www.theguardian.com/world/2022/feb/25/putin-facing-efforts-isolate-diplomatically-ukraine
It pisses me off when you see a million walking the streets due to the "climate crisis" yet the response to possiblity of the actual end to our way of life is met by a few k wandering about in Moscow holding hands. There's over 140 million Russians in Russia, Putin cannot jail or kill them all. Maybe it's about time the people stood up to this regime and took them out. The Americans have done this on a number of occasions and all it takes is a "lone wolf" who's willing to give up his life for the greater good. Maybe it needs to be sold to them as being important to combat climate change - a nuclear winter is coming that would hopefully motivate the people.
Echoes of Finland. Russians got a bloody nose then, as well. I thought the Russian armed forces had turned a corner after the kicking they gave the Germans. Can it be that they only fight well when they have been invaded? Or is it lack of generalship? The fact that they don’t know where they are or where they are going shows the lack of a plan. Seems as if Putin has done a “Hitler” and acted without his generals. But also it could be that the Russian squaddies don’t want to be there.
Access to Twitter and other media has been restricted, state media running stories about liberation of Ukraine, how the liberation efforts are going well, hardly any russian losses.... Kremlin control of its masses is a well run propaganda machine. Most of Russia probably doesn't have a clue about what's actually happening
Looking at the potential events, seems to me living n the Southern Hemisphere is the place to be, thank god when I'm done in the Middle East, me and Mrs F will be moving to South Africa
