The sanctions should be permanent. Russia should never play a part in the global economy. Let China buy their gas, we need to ensure we rely on Russia for nothing ever again. By we I mean the west in general - the Uk don’t buy gas in large amounts from Russia anyway, we ship it in from the USA. The EU needs to take a long hard look at itself as they have made too many mistakes which has weakened the response to Russia for fears of what would happen to themselves. The ****ers are even threatening to de orbit the iss so it hits the eu or us. They don’t deserve a seat at any global table let alone the top table.
Looks like their car would run out of petrol en route before they get the chance to take their seat the way things are going for them here.
I said 'relatively', point being that they are not to be taken lightly and I wouldn't want to rely on the hope that a few of the nukes might not go off correctly, if they were used. The prospect of an all out war with a nuclear power, the biggest in terms of quantity, does not bear thinking about. I don't really care if the nukes they have are bleeding edge technology or not, or how well maintained they are, or about the levels of corruption in the country, makes little to no difference to the fact that if he starts firing them about, we're all ****ed.
Looks like an attempt to protect CFC from sanctions/seizure. The club stinks and Abramovich has simply used it for sports washing and money laundering. I don't believe the UK government has the balls to seize it, as a Russian owned asset, but at least it'll embarrass Chelsea and their vile supporters. please log in to view this image Sam Wallace @SamWallaceTel BREAKING Roman Abramovich hands over ‘stewardship and care’ of Chelsea football club to the ‘trustees of Chelsea’s charitable Foundation

He'll still He'll still be running things, he'll be back 'once/if' this thing blows over. IF not, I'd imagine they'll quietly be looking at potential suitors for the club, I seem to remember the OG Nice owner wanting to purchase Chelsea before.
If we or the Americans send troops into Ukraine we are effectively declaring war on Russia. And Putin knows that. Only people who win then are arms manufacturers, coffin makers and undertakers. As for nuclear weapons, do NOT dare a fool. The man is crazy.
Or using Putin's own justification, we'd be going in to help the Ukrainian people..... I see he's making noises about the nukes being on 'special alert' now. Last throw of the dice already. No chance he'll use them. I thought they might be stuck in the last century militarily but this is approaching North Korea levels.
This nuclear simulation is canny scary like. If it ever happens, I'm thinking I hope first one gets me , as don't fancy seeing it progress, and there'll be nothing to bother surviving for. Unless you can quickly get to S.America or NZ
I have no qualms about using soldiers but only in defence, soldiers that go to war like the Russians deserve all they get, can’t understand why a soldier can’t use their own brain and refuse to fight if it’s just to make a power mad leader look good.
It misses a few important bits out. There's a book by Daniel Ellsberg called The Doomsday Machine which revealed that there's no Russia only option to the US nuclear plan - they hit China as well whether they're involved or not.
His reason to go nuclear is that “NATO are interfering” , when in reality the Ukrainians are giving his forces a good old fashioned kicking. He can’t accept that they are failing in their objectives due to them being utterly ****ing useless. **** the lizard faced bastard.
It looks to my non expert, non military expertise that Russia are having their arse served to them on a plate. The offer of holding talks would suggest to me that they are ****ting themselves at what's gone on. Wonder if someone on the inside pops Vlad off.
Exactly what I was going to say mate, I think he will be seriously looking over his shoulder at the moment.
