.... and the bad KLP miss early on. They hardly threaded us today.

I didn’t think they ever looked like scoring. I felt unusually comfortable that we’d keep a clean sheet.

Barnsley didn’t cut us open particularly, they were better then us on all accounts but scored because of individual mistakes rather then good play whereas today our first goal oozed class. McLoughlin clears the ball properly in the barnsley game the goal doesn’t happen, likewise if Greaves headed it properly

all hindsight anyway, Barnsley are the team to watch now behind us in the bottom 3. Few players they currently have that we should look at in summer, Bassi was a very good attacking midfielder

Peterborough manager Grant McCann told BBC Radio Cambridgeshire:

"It's a really disappointing result, frustrating. We've had a day or so to work with this group on the training ground, but that wasn't an excuse today.

"We gifted them the three goals, to be honest. There are loads of things we have to get better at.

"First one we lost the ball, second one we lost the ball and third one we lost the ball. Lewis-Potter's a good player at this level - give him opportunities and he'll take them.

"There's a lot of potential in this group - it's probably about changing that losing mentality that's around the place at the minute and that'll take a bit of time.

My main aim is to have a really, really good plan A and make it the best plan A ever... "

Hull manager Shota Arveladze told BBC Radio Humberside:

"If anyone's happy today, it's me - to see my team standing so organised for 90 minutes. I give the boys a lot of credit for that and it's the confidence they're getting back.

"We started well, with two or three good chances immediately. Then we did it and we got the second goal at the right time.

"They had to rush more and as soon as you start rushing you don't make as many right decisions as normal.

"We all see how well he (Lewis-Potter) is doing. The way he goes past the man, he feels the momentum is coming and those were great goals, very important goals."

Twat McCann...."Lewis Potters good at this level".... its as close as he'll come to managing Premier League talent in a long long time...

I like Smith decent movement and pace, needs a run in the team.
 
Unable to see the game or listen to commentary today, but seen the goals and read the reports on here, sounds like we did a proper job on them and reverted to a back 3 ? Great 3 points, 3 good goals although they looked as though they defended like we have at times this season. Nice to see us bounce back from the poor night on Tuesday.. onwards and upwards.

We had a clear system today, best game I’ve watched all season for a full 90. Movement of the ball was done with pace and purpose. Midfield had balance and energy. Jones McLoughlin make such a difference to our build up when they play. Greaves is also an incredible overlapping centre half.

Slater magnificent in the wing back, Fleming arguably MOTM the energy he brings on both ends of the pitch makes him invaluable to us. Smith Honeyman and KLP as a front 3 all brought quality on the ball and pace and precision. Smith held the ball up the best I’ve seen a striker do so far this season which I never thought I’d say. KLP was just KLP and Honeyman looked back to his best albeit for 45. Walsh looked accomplished further up though. Could’ve/should’ve been more.

Onto Brucie next week with all the injured back in the fold...
