Is Acun rich enough for this to be a danger anyway?

Correct me if I'm wrong but don't you have to make a loss of about £40mil in 3 year or something, and I read he was only worth about 100 mil.

Think we'll see some investment and he won't be trying to make money out of us (so any profits we make gets reinvested) as it's more about the success than the financials - but I can't see us going mental

Hope the training facilities get a bit of cash pumped into them soon mind!

He won't be using his own money not many owners do. He's a media man we'll get our money through his contacts and publicity he draws to us. If he wants to take the Leicester approach as he claims then we will have to accept that occasionally one of our better players will have to go to fund improvements to the rest of the squad. Like they did with Mahrez/Kante etc.

From what some commentators have said we are in a favourable position compared to other clubs in the Championship, Heard one, didn't catch who, saying that even fans who wanted them out should be grateful to them for that, we are in a better position than a lot of clubs. Even better with new owners not hamstrung with FFP restrictions and a load of outstanding debts like new owners would be elsewhere.

Yeah at least the "gift" was from the Allams not a third party or we may have been in trouble

Decent window imo, we've got the makings of a good young squad. I'd have liked to see an experienced centre half on board but you can't have everything.

Smallwood apart think the days are going where teams need ‘experience’ which so often comes in the form of either unfit or overpaid legs gone players. If you’ve bought energy and reasonable quality and have a good team spirit(thanks Mcann ) you can do ok. I think Shota may just be really football intelligent and at a level we’ve not seen too often . If you know what I mean his after match comments were a breath of clarity
    God that’s deep!!!

Experience will always be important in terms of managing a game and managing the tempo. Youth gets over excited and will lose shape and focus on tactics late on games when either winning or losing. I think if you have a well drilled, young side, that is fine, but by definition that side has experience. Experience doesn't have to be players who are 30+ but players with a large number of games under their belt matter.

I suppose that's one way of looking at it, I suppose another way is that we were a premiership team that sold all our best assets for them not to be replaced. However, yes it's pleasing we've got a championship team whilst working to a profit which is a great platform to build on, it was just never going to be built on without a new owner.

The allams always said that we'd be run like a business, and we were. Apart from alienating loyal customers of course!

On the other hand we could be a so-called fans owned club like Barcelona as some would like and a billion in debt.

One of the issues with Barcelona, Real etc - not so much bayern-is that the presidential candidates have to constantly outdo each other with wild promises and headcase decisions to put themselves in power.

Nobody's going to be head honcho at barca by promising to stabalise the club, the fans want Messi to stay forever and to spunk 100's of millions on talent. So that's what they have to try and do.

The sad fact is although we would like to think we'd be level headed and sensible about things, if we were in Acun and Darnbouroughs shoes we'd have been trying to find mbappe's mobile number for most of yesterday or standing outside Bowens house with a boom box over our heads

I take your point but I think you can have experience without the downside you refer to and I think centre half is where we most need it given the importance of corners and set pieces in the English game, it's also an area where we have been a bit vulnerable this season. If McLoughlin gets injured/suspended I think we'd have a problem.

Presidential candidates for Barcelona have to lodge 10% of the market value which rather restricts the field.
Bayern may be in theory a fans run club but its President is CEO of a large company, not a fan. Going by the uproar at meetings about being ignored the fans input is restricted to buying annual memberships and tickets for games.

Reportedly being offered £800,000 a week. Football is completely living in a separate world to most of the fans,
