Nice to have the Umberside commentary back...although it amused me how Swan kept referring it to the KCOM...he obviously hasn't been keeping up with the changes over the last year...He really does need to be upgraded.

I listened to Swanny's summary of the game, and when asked if he saw any difference in the way City played, he said no. I think every man and his dog could see they were playing further up the pitch than under McCann, but he clearly didn't notice it.

just so I understand what device do I need to listen to commentary....at 43 I hate to admit it but I haven’t got a clue what most of you are talking about :)

Not sure if they still do but they used to alternate between FM and Digital coverage, so if you can get hold.of one,, a radio with FM and Digital capabilities

At the moment - if you live outside East Yorks you'd need bbc sounds app for the humberside build up, then switch to ifollow for the first half - when they bother to turn it on for kickoff, then get 15 mins silence at half time and then again, hope they remember to turn the feed back on for second half before switching back to BBC sounds for the intervierws and post match reaction.

It was easier when they just piped Humberside through ifollow from 2-6 and we didn't get irritated by Fletch's 'novel phrasings'

Say what you want about Burns'so-called negativity, he's in a different league as a broadcaster to Fletcher.

It's ironic (positive, but ironic) that now, those paying a fiver a month for a subscription get a poorer service for city commentary than someone living in lincolnshire who just turns on the FM radio.

And given that I pay a license fee and club subscription, I've paid for it twice!

The opposite was true at times. When they had the ball we lined up with a flat back 5, Fleming and Longman in line with the centre backs, which I can't remember seeing us do for years. It was a 5-4-1 a lot of the time when defending. Worked a treat though.

He must have at the very least noticed we rarely played out from the back.

Our first goal was a fine example of passing from the back. I don't think we were particularly direct yesterday, very few teams don't play out from the back nowadays to be honest.

Sorry, to be clear, I meant the centre halves receiving it from the keeper at goal kicks on the edge of the 6 yard box.

Good point. I didn't notice at the time that we'd stopped doing that.
