You can’t have it both ways.

In this instance it was HT2 that was adamant GM had been spoken to & he had been given the go ahead to release the info but now says GM hasn’t been spoken to & because of this the BBC were wrong to reveal it at the weekend.

What’s your opinion on the suggestion that people may have knowingly put incorrect info on the board with the deliberate intent of misleading the posters?

I already have, several times, but it's done discretely to save boring everyone else further. :emoticon-0105-wink:
 
So to summarise Grant has not yet been officially let go. He apparently took the players for training yesterday (as reported in the HDM) and may well do so again unless he's told otherwise.

Mean while his apparent replacement is apparently stuck in turkey due to heavy snow fall.

Not an ideal situation is it...

If you look, Ben subjected himself to the show trial. I made a polite general request to ALL posters, but he chose to assume it was just about him.

I probably get more complaints about Ben than I get for any other poster, so all in all, I think I've been very, very patient, especially when you see the childish 'abuse' Ben pops in my in box.

In that case, I shall start complaining about the posts I don't like and I would urge every poster to do the same. Don't want the snowflakes taking over, do we?

Other posters that accused me of high handedness have done that and been unhappy with the results, and seem to think it's a sign they were right, without realising it goes to ALL mods and supermods, who are more liable to have acted on them than me. But somehow, it's still just me, or something. <doh>

Either it's him or his employers. Anyone else knowing has found out from one of them. If it's Grant, then I don't think there's any issue at all. If it's Acun, it's not a great look, but it is what it is.

No, they haven't said he's left. They've said he's going and they've said that they've had that confirmed. That is not jumping the gun, it's just reporting on the current state of things. They've been completely open about the fact that the story came initially from Turkey. There really isn't any case to answer here.
