Wasn't sure politics or Covid but anti- Vaxers out in London. Oxford Street/Parliament Sq and this below outside Downing St. Disgusting behaviour.
I can't for the life of me work out why London has a fast spread? I wonder who we can blame when the deaths go up....
Lot of bald white men in that clip. As a bald(ing) white man I would like to point out that not all bald white men share the same views.
Careful, Stan… Wills will want to know the relevance of them being white and bald. Nurses! Nurses! Lesbians! Nurses! Lesbians!
Netherlands tough lockdown from tomorrow. I swear I will never say ‘ it will be over by Christmas again’!
Why has 60% of Londoners refused the jab When I saw that number I thought it was going to be all those pesky foreigners but looking at the videos it all seems to be dopey honkeys (Think I've been evenhanded enough for wills there)
Absolute madness. What is the good planet Earth coming to? The one person who does seem to speak commonsense and with sound reasoning is Professor Karl Lauterbach, the new German Health Minister. A renowned virologist in his own right, he seems as honest and straightforward a guy as is possible. What a mess he is having to clear-up after the disastrous reign of the former Health Minister, Jens Spahn, so disorganised a person as to be beyond belief. Rant over!

Sturgeon (and the other devolved governments) having to go cap in hand to Sunak and ask for more cash to deal with Omicron....must've stuck in her craw to ask for help, just goes to show she can't do it alone...... Covid: Scotland to receive an extra £220m from Treasury please log in to view this image IMAGE SOURCE,GETTY IMAGES Image caption, Nicola Sturgeon said any extra money would be used to help businesses and the overall Covid effort Scotland is to receive an extra £220m from the UK government to help tackle Covid-19. The Scottish government has made repeated calls for more money from the Treasury as Omicron numbers rise. It had already said bars and restaurants would receive a £66m support package but hospitality bosses said this was not enough. The extra funding follows discussions between the devolved nations and Chancellor Rishi Sunak. The UK government said the money was on top of the £220m it had already provided from the Autumn Budget. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-scotland-politics-59721197
Got my result today after taking the pcr last thursday. Negative which is just aswell because i have been back to work etc. I spoke to my little brother who was at a wedding 2 weeks ago. He says the majority have come down with covid, all his table of 10, apart from himself. All vacinated, apart from himself. He and his mrs did the antibodies test, she is vacinated and got it too (2nd time now). His showed a greater level of antibodies in his system than she did. Its all really bizarre to say the least.
To counter that, my business partners brother and sister-in-law are both anti-vaxers...and have now contracted the virus, infecting his 80+ year old parents who, although triple dosed, are now quite ill. The sister-in-law has been rushed to hospital and is now ventilated, the brother is very ill too. Your brother may have recently had Covid, been asymptomatic so not known, which would explain the high antibody count.
Ginger - the new superpower.....if only they could walk out in the sun without turning into a ripe tomato
No change to restrictions at present. Fair enough. The ranges in the SAGE and other models are vast. The evidence from South Africa is encouraging - infections tailing off, peaks of hospitalisations and deaths much lower than previous waves. But we are continually told that ‘the population is younger’ - yes it is, and with much lower vaccination rates too. Here, infections are meant to be doubling every two days but the number of positive tests has been 80-90k a day since last Thursday (perhaps this is the test capacity?) and the number of hospital beds taken up by people who are in for/with COVID hasn’t gone up at all, though the last day this data is available for is 17 December for some reason. On the other hand we have London where thousands of NHS staff are self isolating and the number of beds taken up by COVID has gone up a lot - not for some reason reflected in the national data. Of course, this is the place with the lowest vaccine uptake in the country by some distance. People off work, especially in emergency services, seems to be the biggest risk. Given footfall in the shops, restaurants and pubs, it seems that people are taking things easy to save their Christmases. Might not work though, this version does seem sensationally easy to catch.
Not just London, but nationwide people isolating or ill which is causing staff shortages... Covid in Scotland: ScotRail cancels 118 services as virus spikes please log in to view this image Image caption, ScotRail reported more than a hundred cancellations on Monday More than 100 ScotRail services have been cancelled as the rise in Covid cases gathers pace. The train operator's website showed 118 cancelled trains on Monday morning, with staff illness stated as the cause of almost all of them. Positive cases and self-isolation are having an increasing impact on trains and other public services as the new variant advances. Bus services, attractions and theatre shows have also been badly hit. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-59727020
