I wouldn't say the season, he's a good asset to bring on, like a lot of injured players at the moment.
Best case scenario is everyone fit to choose from.
But I think I know where your coming from, ie, not being too reliant on geads.
100%. Impact sub maybe but not a starter in my book

Just suppose we get the hard man type of midfielder we all want.
A player like a Kevin Ball or Lee Cattermole.
The dire state of refereeing, which invariably goes against us, would mean them being sent off every game they play.
I’m waiting for the old ‘everything will even out over the season’ to kick in as we’re due loads of decisions to go our way.

Not if he's a clever dirty bastard :D and LJ subs him on a yellow :D
Granted we could be without him for some match bans, but with a fit squad and others to choose from it would be good to watch and hopefully rally the players even more. Push us up a notch.

I can honestly say i'm not fussed if McGeady is out for the season.

Sure, he has those occassional moments of brilliance for this league but when he's on the pitch we seem to go 1 dimensional.

Game plan seems to be get it to McGeady which is easy for the opposition to counter, with him out we seem to utilise both sides of the pitch.
I agree. I like mcgeady and there is always a grip of anticipation when he gets to the opposition penalty area, but he does hold back a fast attack.

Let's hope it's not covid.
Arby must be close and Cirkin & Evans are back in training, Huggins had a setback I think.
McGeady and O'Nien are at least 2-3 months away from what was reported.
Willis is unlikely to feature this season.

good grief, i forgot all about willis, knew cirkin and evans were back to training...i think evans offers something for 'away days' as he can sit and protect the back four, at least for a half until the opposition run out of ideas then get a more attacking lad in while cirkin is an almost guaranteed starter imho, from a shaky start (understandable) he improved game upon game... be nice to have a full squad to choose from though.

@Ozzymac has a point about geads as well, i feel he is being 'phased out' and we are trying not to be as reliant on him, but still a good lad to bring on later in the game.

watching the Sunderland AFC Keroche feed and a penalty has been awarded, it almost kicked off by the looks of it and the penalty spot is under 2" of water so many arguments ongoing lol...and we think we have problems!!

edit: no idea what happened to the font there like...

I still believe that a fully fit O/9 with a bit more composure which experience will bring, could easily be the answer to our defensive mid-field problems, but I would welcome an addition in their in January as Evans has not been the complete answer even when he has been available.

Just for perspective on [HASHTAG]#SAFC[/HASHTAG] after Ipswich draw.
19-20: 22 games - 32 points.
20-21: 22 games - 36 points.
21-22: 22 games - 43 points.
Both seasons at this stage we were nine points off top two. This season we’re just under two points per game & currently two points off 2nd.

Good stat.

I am still convinced that the two above us will have a bad run at some point, between now and the end of the season. Whereas us, as players come back from injury can look forward (fingers crossed) to a good last 15 games.

went to edit it because of the font and could not get two bits of font the same, tried to edit the paste and the rest, apart from the first two words, went bold then tried a couple of different edits and ended with the bit that posted... so in the end i thought, it can be read, feck it ;)

Not sure if it's been said before but they were annoying the **** out of me the amount of sliding over in the middle of the park in the first half.

It was like they had the wrong boots!

Poor preparation ? mind it does cast doubt on the attention to detail so often referred to .

one of the hardest and dirtiest players i've seen at sunderland was Stefan Schwartz, but he was so good at it that he got away with murder, he left players lying in a broken heap without so much as a ticking off from the ref. Proper master of the dark arts that lad, wish we had somebody from the same mould.

If you go on there, how are Syd and Annette doing.
Syd sits in front of me but he’s not been for a few games
He posts on Facebook and has moved house a few months ago
I think there ok
Quite a few people left sundermad
Then he closed the site down quite a few months ago
