They have got to be backing him in the Jan window imho surely. He can't do much more with the squad due to injuries, but football is a funny old game, so I suppose I'll be getting no work done on Monday <laugh>

Edit: just seen prehabs post above, I took too long to type my reply <laugh><laugh>. Hopefully that's the end of twit and twat. :emoticon-0137-clapp:emoticon-0137-clapp

Too early for me mate to make that conclusion. We are playing without full backs and we are unbalanced. We have dug results out last month or so. Be interestimg to see where everyone is at end of Feb. Fancy us to make a difference in Jan and then kick on when Cirkin Huggins and McGeady come back. Noone in this league has the quality of players out we do.

Very unpleasant team Ipswich, reminded me of Wycombe.

It's pointless expecting these refs to do their job but we fought hard today.

While I agree with everyone that Ipswich were far better in the first half I cannot agree with the pundits on tv/radio that are saying we were the best team in the second half.
We improved for the second half but I thought Ipswich shaded it.

The draw was a good result for us but Ipswich must be seeing it as two points lost.
The effort they put in, especially in the first half, makes me think they will fall short the next couple of games.
Other teams do work extra hard against us and pay for it in the following games.

With the side we put out I'm quite happy with the point tbh.

It's points like this, when we're not on top form, that can make a big difference.

I thought we looked much more likely to score, than them, in the second half.

Losing Dajaku, without McGeady to bring on was a big shame.

At least Hume looked like he can be a plus for the second half of the season.

been wondering if pritchard had a bit of a problem/illness/injury as he really struggled to get into the game and was subbed, hope whatever it is it is minor as he has been spot on lately.

also hope dajaku is an impact injury and just needs a day or so rest as he was starting to show how good a player he can be.

any news on any other players, we know onien will be a few weeks away but heard nowt about geads and arby should be very close to a start i would think, good to see hume back as well, still think huggins will make a difference when he can get back in as well.

Ipswich definitely were better in the first half, although failed to convert. I thought we were better in the second half and just shaded it second half. The fact was that Pritchard was anonymous and also that Dan Neil was very quiet first half. It was clear some of the players had the wrong footwear on and that the ball was a hot potato. I was pleased with the point though, especially after that first half.

My take on the game was that as has been said Ipswich played the occasion better than us 1st half and they did make it an occasion with the owners present and the new manager. We just didn’t or couldn’t dictate any play 1st half they didn’t let us settle into any pattern of play and they probably deserved to be ahead at the break. The 2nd half I thought after the equaliser and with a little more composure we looked the more likely to Nick a winner . A draw was about a fair result though. The referee was appalling and very much a homer. Other than that a great catch up with friends good banter and I enjoyed my first visit to Portman Road. Keep the faith everyone it was a well earned point and could be crucial. :emoticon-0148-yes:

    Well fought draw considering.
At least we've played them twice now. They have got Wigan and Rotherham back to back in April now so if improved under new ownership and manager, could do us a favour.
Plus we have got Wigan and Rotherham in feb/march.
Improve our squad like the last window, especially a solid General midfielder and we could finish the season strongly.

It's getting to the nitty gritty now and exciting, nice to see us there lurking in 3rd, black cats ready to pounce :D

    Especially with so many injuries.

    Let's hope it's not covid.
Arby must be close and Cirkin & Evans are back in training, Huggins had a setback I think.
McGeady and O'Nien are at least 2-3 months away from what was reported.
Willis is unlikely to feature this season.

I can honestly say i'm not fussed if McGeady is out for the season.

Sure, he has those occassional moments of brilliance for this league but when he's on the pitch we seem to go 1 dimensional.

Game plan seems to be get it to McGeady which is easy for the opposition to counter, with him out we seem to utilise both sides of the pitch.

Just suppose we get the hard man type of midfielder we all want.
A player like a Kevin Ball or Lee Cattermole.
The dire state of refereeing, which invariably goes against us, would mean them being sent off every game they play.
I’m waiting for the old ‘everything will even out over the season’ to kick in as we’re due loads of decisions to go our way.

I wouldn't say the season, he's a good asset to bring on, like a lot of injured players at the moment.
Best case scenario is everyone fit to choose from.
But I think I know where your coming from, ie, not being too reliant on geads.
