I put a draw down on my predictions but after reading RTB's thread and you lads posts you have convinced me to say we will win.

Confidence should be high and hopefully Broadhead continues to thrive and forges a good partnership with Rossy. 1-3.

No idea if it's true or not but there was a caller on Tertle Spert earlier who said the ref for our game tomorrow is only 24yrs old. Not that I'm saying it's a bad thing but that does seem remarkably young considering its heading for a 28k sell out. Good luck to him.

He must be doing something right as he has refereed 18 games this season and 11 of those were Championship games.
18 games 56 yellow cards and 2 reds.
An average of 3 yellows per game.

I don"t know at professional level but at grassroots and kids football there is a very big shortage of referees. As a level 7 ref myself I regularly get asked to do 3 or 4 games on a weekend as no-one is available.

    Heat thread as usual @RTB

Head says a hard fought close win for us, heart wants us to absolutely batter them and send out a real message to the rest of the division.

That should’ve been Tuesday! Should’ve been well ahead by half time. Agree hard fought close game. Don’t do predictions though!!

from reports it looks like its a really big day for the Ipswich fans, sold out, new manager ( albeit in the stands for today) new owners in attendance, statue unveiling etc.etc, so we need to be on our guard against the 'bounce'. However, there's nowt better than spoiling the party, and thats exactly what I expect us to do today, back on LJ's home turf, we need to send out a message and put our stamp on this game and this league. All the hard work over recent weeks has to pay off, simple as that. Ipswich 1 Sunderland 3 HTL
