The difference between the December 75 team and super team of 76/77 is quite significant

7 players

The December 75 team was our super team as it was the 75/76 season that we were 14 minutes from the title......... 76/77 was when it first started to go down hill a bit as Gerry missed half a season through injury......

Also I just realised that the programe team posted by Hammersmith was from the cup tie in 1970 when Dave Mackay kicked Rodney from pillar to post but also scored an own goal.........

It’s weird not having a game until Monday.

Am I right in thinking we will still be in the top six when we kick off, regardless of how all the other games go?

I did wonder why I only knew half the team and did think it was 75 when we were at our best. I remember from about 73

Who was that completely bald headed player we had, around about 2009. He played Derby away where we were 1-0 down for most of the match and he scored a late equaliser, felt like a win. And he hardly ever scored.

I'm pretty sure he was wearing this kit that year and might have been last season with Cookie?

Yes, it was Mahon. I'm mixing up my games. Can't remember when we got a last minute 1-1 draw.

I liked Mahon. He was obviously getting old but seemed a good guy and was useful.

We drew 1-1 at home with them in 2010, but Cook scored our goal and we were 1-0 up. I think the bald player your thinking of is indeed Mahon, but I can't recall the 1-1 away scoreline you mention ! We did them 4-2 where Mahon scored a year earlier I think. The famous 2-2 away came a year later where Mackie scored in added time and we went on to be champions !

Yeah, I think I'm just mixing up the results. I just remember Mahon's goal being dramatic.

Evening games are a doddle because there is lots of free parking in the trading estates around it. I think I was parked in a car dealership about 3-4 minutes walk away last time. Get away easy enough as well once the stadium has emptied. If I was you I'd just start looking to park when you're .0-5 - 1 mile away form the stadium according to Satnav. Only problem was the game. In the bad old days of Harry Redknapp when Charlie was out and we set up each away game with the aim of sending the opponents to sleep and had two loan forwards who couldn't hit the proverbial barn door from 5 yards. I think they scored a combined total of 3 goals while playing about 25 times between them
Cheers mate

Flight due to land at 4pm to Heathrow giving me just under four hours to get through the airport, get home and get to Derby. Feels unlikely.

Bought a kids ticket for the ten loyalty points just in case :1980_boogie_down:
