Look at that crowd. What an atmosphere!

Even though HQ still has a great atmosphere when full it's nowhere near the days when you had terraces. In 76 from January onwards we had a run of home games where each match was like a cup final on the run-in. We won the lot and I don't think anything matches those games for tension and the place was rocking...

It was great, but I’ve been kidding myself that we played in a full house every week …. Biggest attendance was 31,000 for the last home game against Leeds, and average, some way under capacity, was just under 24,000. Funny how your memory plays tricks. I think the variation may be down to variable numbers of travelling fans in the School End, which was a decent sized terrace in those days.

If that’s what we got in a season where we very nearly ended up champions and when tickets were still priced to get working people into the ground, how Fernandes ever thought we would need a 40k plus stadium is intriguing. I think my ST in 75/76 cost about £40, which at current prices is at least £200 cheaper than what I paid for this season.

Difference perhaps is the Loft was always rammed and covered whereas the School End was open to the elements at that time, so it always seemed to be a seething mass especially when scored. We arrived late on for the Leeds game and ended up squashed in the corner by the floodlight, that was pretty scary every time we were in the box...

I know. I saw every home game that season and the attendances were disappointing except for the opening couple of games until the run in when they just got higher and higher as the belief took hold. Soops is right. I'm sure the crowd helped the team to win games when you consider the last gasp winners against Stoke and Arsenal. Didn't we end up winning 17 and drawing 4 of our 21 home games?

As a youngster, I was got there early and was at the front of the Loft by the 6 yard line.

Had a great view although it was most definitely very packed and tight.

I well remember the jubilation on the pitch after the match with the players and manager celebrating in the SAF directors box.

It was a great moment!

How could I forget the Dave Webb glancing header against City after Willie Donachie had been sent off for yet another niggly foul on our Stan. I seem to recall that Dave Thomas' reaction seemed to have been completely missed and that he was very lucky not to be sent off also.

Cheers Trammers. Good to see that again and to have my memory corrected. It was of course Hartford who went off but for some reason Donachie and Thomas stuck out in my mind. I think I am remembering the slo-mo of the free for all after the initial foul. My God we were good to watch in those days.

Walking through a Christmas event when some random fella shouted out 'you're going to lose tomorrow' after spotting my QPR hat that was preventing me dying from hypothermia.. Caught me by surprise so had walked by before I had a chance to say 'thanks for Wembley and enjoy League 1'!
Must not lose now.

It wasn’t this bloke, was it?

Want to go and for some reason it’s all-ticket but won’t know until a few hours before if I can get there in time.

Annoyingly I’ve been offered free hospitality for Birmingham away and can’t go.

In fact all the upcoming aways are all ticket. Would have thought plenty would do Bristol or Bham on whim to get away from the family if they had the option.
I haven't seen anything about it being all ticket? I was banking on paying on the night, as website says nothing about picking up tickets at the ground so haven't bought mine yet. Will give them a bell in the morning

Any changes or refunds to bookings must be completed prior to tickets going off sale from QPR at 12noon on Monday 29th November.

Worst way there’s a kids ticket waiting there with my name on that I’ll 99% not be using now if you want it.

Cheers Tramore! Think I saw myself celebrating the goal there. Used to stand just behind the goal in the Loft a bit above and to one side, usually the left looking at the pitch. Great view. Webbie was a f***** hero.

Five hours of this flight left to think of another player who played for both.

Can’t believe Leon Clarke didn’t play for Derby. He’s very Derby.

Does anyone know that the game is 100% on? I'm about to head off but i don't want another Burnley/Spurs on my hands and have it postponed just as i finish my coffee at M1 Derby Services!!
