Christ on a bike! pool up to 14th we need to win this one.
A team is struggling and you have a player like Emmanuel on the bench! Bizarre. I’d like to see him change the whole system but that’s not going to happen. We get beat and he’s gonna get grief during and after the game.
strange bloke who I’ve never warmed to at all.
Ah well
Hopeful 1-0 to city
Pessimistic josh bowler winner for them

Blackpool gets its name from a historic drainage channel that ran over a peat bog, discharging discoloured water into the Irish Sea, which formed a black pool (on the other side of the sea, “Dublin” (Dubh Linn) is derived from the Irish for “black pool”)

Sir Hiram Maxim's Captive Flying Machine, known as the Flying Machines, is the oldest amusement park ride in Europe, having opened in August 1904.

Blackpool airport was the first passenger airport in the UK.

In 1885, Blackpool introduced the world’s first permanent electric street tramway.

Despite being a base for the production of Wellington Bombers, Hitler wouldn't bomb Blackpool, as he wanted to have a swastika flying from the tower

Blackpool has more hotel beds than the whole of Portugal.

I love Emmanuel but Coyle is one of our best players and has been quite consistently for ages. Yeah you could squeeze them both in somewhere, change the formation or whatever but then it's square pegs in round holes and we know how the forum feels about that.

I don't think there's a team we could pick that would fix things, we're just not great. Seen a few people saying KLP out wide is the problem but he was very good there last year, and to me the difference this year is just that we aren't building anything, we aren't getting behind teams. Yesterday we seemed to keep the ball better than usual but did nothing incisive. Tomorrow we need to have that possession as a minimum to build upon and do more with it in the final third. My worry though is we do the opposite and pull out another performance like Derby and other 'easier' home games in the past where we stink the place out and can barely complete a pass. The idea of us winning a game just feels so far-fetched at the moment.

I predict the
same tactics same team that scores no goals and losses again.
It means nothing to the owners but GM will find out what the small amount who do go to games what they think of him we’ve had enough.

They were League 1 strugglers (old money) we were top end League 2. We'd thumped Charlton 3-0 in the previous round. They'd beaten West Ham 4-0 in the previous round. The west ham players had been on the lash, the previous night, thinking that the game would be postponed due to the heavy snow on the Bloomfield Road pitch. Doooaahh. Not Bobby Moore's finest moment.
Nostalgia, it aint what it used to be.

So how are Blackpool doing so well?

They re a league one club signing cheap and making a Fist of it
Lavery signed from lingfield scored the winner yesterday.

I was just saying I don't think changing the lineup would fix anything. I think our issues are more fundamental. A new manager might breathe new life into them, or some quality new signings might improve us, but I don't think individual selections would change much, bar Honeyman and Huddlestone returning from injury.

Blackpool are performing exactly how I would’ve like City to do this season. Mid-table and grinding out good wins against tough opponents. The embargo has been rough but when you look at Blackpool’s squad, which on paper is arguably worse than ours, it’s not a good enough excuse for 1 goal in 8 games and the position we’re currently in.

Will Kevin Stewart be playing.....?

If he downs bring Bernard back in and put Alfie Jones in front of the back 4 then he wants.... well he just wants...
